EXTREMELY GRAPHIC and I'd suggest to people I love not to watch it.

Sorry for that. I thought saying graphic was enough. I am not one to watch horror movie's because to me they are graphic. I guess I didn't realize that there were different degree's/ level's of graphic. my bad. :(

Again so sorry.

CNN reporting local radio in Nice saying possibly 80 dead. Not confirmed officially.

ISIS supporters are celebrating the attack on social media - disgusting & evil!

OMG! Just noticed this thread and thought it was an item from years ago.
Going to catch up, poor France, this is so unfair.

Oh no.......Why is France getting targeted so frequently?? Seems like they are getting way more than their (unfair) share, much more than other European countries.

There are specific reasons they are targeted, but probably not the time to discuss. (In short, I asked myself the same question, and googled.)

I thought we have a WS member in Nice.Does anyone remember?

We do.

I don't feel it's appropriate to "out" them here on the thread, but I've let them know they are being thought of and that we are concerned. It will be up to them to check in, if and when they feel up to it.

I'm sure there was no evil intent in linking a video that's all over the internet. Maybe if we see some of the "real" horror we'll decide to terminate these cockroaches in their holes.

I appreciated the warning. I can't watch it.

Many thanks for doing this I can't imagine the shock I'd feel if this had happened near my home. I hope they are safe.

Should we wait until the next attack to discuss it?I briefly explained it in a previous post plain and simple. This will continue to happen.

Children are among the dead I've just seen a little girl covered beside her doll absolutely heartbreaking on the daily mirror website.

Whoever said that Isis was 'desperate' a few weeks back, I think inflamed them even more to do more, and more attacks to show everyone they aren't desperate at all. I wont mention the name of the person who said that in the media for Isis to hear. When I heard it said, I instantly thought it was such a wrong thing to say knowing how diabolical these sadistic murderers can be to prove they still have much power and leverage to do mass murders and to horribly wound others.

My heart is breaking for France. Their pain never seems to stop. They cant get over one attack without having to deal with another.

It sure shows how one large truck can do such horrendous damages and this kind of terrorist attack could happen anywhere, even here.

I guess the response will be prayer vigils, bathing monuments in colors that represent Bastille Day and flowery speeches.

'Screaming that I will never forget'

http://www.vox.com/2016/7/14/12195468/nice-truck-attack-witness

From far off, a noise. Screams.

My first thought: a clever joker wanted to set off his own little fireworks and lost control... But no. A fraction of a second later, a huge white truck flew by at a crazy speed, driving over people, twisting the wheel to cut down the maximum number of people. This truck of death passed a few meters away from me and I didn’t realize it. I saw bodies fly like bowling pins along its path. Heard noises, screaming that I will never forget.
