The whole idea of TM being in charge of educating children is pretty sickening.

I think if one is found guilty of fraud, the jury takes into account how much they stole when deciding what the punishment should be, along with other factors like whether were running a ring, how long it went on for, etc. I definitely think a healthcare professional who steals millions is going to get a longer sentence than someone who lies on their forms and receives a few thousand/year.

Why are you trying to defend their violating of the law? It does not matter the amount or years. The government already said at least $10,000 and between years 2007-2014. $10,000. $100,000, $1,000,000 They are in the wrong.

Holy crow -- that's alot of insight into why she took her kids out of public school. As usual, she was on a roll. I had to laugh because it sounds like she stayed home and sent Sidney to deal with the attendance hearing... I guess he does the "dirty work" for her.... Not surprised. Also, thanks again - you went over and above providing all these interesting links.

My oh my. I'm surprised to see so many think this isn't a big deal. To me it is. No it's not murder, but it's still illegal and morally wrong!! Now to see if the rumor about food stamps is true, which I'm betting now it is. Should be some fraud charges for that.

Anyone that knows others are frauding, there's either a 888 or 800 number to call and report it. Taking resources from those that truly need it only makes it so that less people are helped. I can't remember if the food stamps reward you for reporting fraud, but I know I've seen signs saying you can receive so much for reporting Medicaid or Medicare fraud...maybe both... can't remember...

OKG, the State should hire you as a research assistant for the case:)

To the legal system, it does matter when considering what punishment they will be given. The amount of money stolen and how long it went on for a few factors that will be taken into consideration by a judge or jury.

TM identifies with Nancy Grace (BBM):

I LOVE that woman. She is so much like me its unreal. I wish she were our President!

About being tough on crime and the death penalty - I wonder what she thinks about that now!:

I love Ms Nancy! She and I see eye to eye. I would love to have coffee with her one day and discuss how the death penalty really should operate. Punishment in this country never fits the crime and it's long overdue that it does once again.

I wish I could thank you more than once, OkieGranny. :thumb: Now I know why TM didn't trust schools, thanks to your link to this thread:

She has a long list of issues.

I have to wonder about what really happened with Tammy's children and truancy court. Since she is known to be a lying liar who lies, I wonder whether it's the truth that they were sent to court for missing 5 days of school in a row to go to Disney World.

Can that story be true? Does South Carolina really have such stringent attendance policies and enforce them?

From your link OG! Thinking about putting this in my sig line, with credit of course to Tammy . Wouldn't it be great if the prosecutor used this in the penalty phase at trial?

I think I am reading this one for the first time. Anyone know anything about SM going to school?

Cooking school wasn't it? I brought it up earlier but misstated the name of the school. OKG, lol what was the name of that school?

Tammy puts her foot in her mouth again. It's a wonder she can still speak. Oh, the irony of her statements .....

Mrs. Moorer, do you still want to talk to Nancy now???

I seem to think the cooking school was Johnson and Wales, but for some reason, I thought SM went there after high school, before he met Tammy.

Thanks OkieGranny for the links!! It's a trip reading her posts. It is really like a study in narcissism. Everything is about how she was wronged, all the people that "wronged" her were either "wenches", "witches", or other disparaging names.. It's also interesting to note that she mentions several times how she isn't going to take this or that off people. And if you read between the lines of this little quote:

"I LOVE that woman. She is so much like me its unreal. I wish she were our President!"

She is saying she loves herself and she should be president. I love her, because she is like me...she/I should be president... I am sure she didn't set out to say that, but when you break down her statement it shows how highly she thinks of herself.

I was surprised, but apparently, Horry County has a very strict attendance policy. In fact, this year there is a petition in the county to change it.

Would grandma be schooling them at home now or will the state make the children go to regular school now? How does that work?

I have heard of strict attendance policies in my state, but I don't believe many districts enforce them unless they have other reasons for doing so, like if a child seems neglected or a parent is always threatening to sue.

That said, we always planned our vacations during school breaks because my kids found it hard to miss a full week of school. In about 3 weeks, school schedules will no longer be a factor in when we go away. That time flew by, and I'm glad that 3 days was the longest that my kids ever missed school for something other than illness or injury.

My guess is that the children will continue in their on-line school. Their grandmother is not going to make a major parenting decision like changing schools without Tammy's blessing. IMO, TM has been wearing the pants around the Caison compound for years. If she doesn't want those kids going out to school, they won't.

Moreover, if they start going out in their community regularly, the children can be teased about what trash their parents are and that would be ugly for them. They are probably best off remaining in K12 or whatever other on-line school they're enrolled in at least until after the trial.
