Does anyone think that this case has any relation to the disappearance of Tanja Mühlinghaus who vanished from Wuppertal (139km from Paderborn) in 1998? When Tanja vanished she sent letters to her parents stating that she will return at some point and is well, her parents have said these letters seemed coerced. Tanja was never found but the two cases remind me of one another..

That's a definite possibility. Both girls disappeared from North Rhine-Westphalia, both of them told loved ones they would return soon, and there wasn't too much time between them.

I'm moving this thread to our "Located" forum since Frauke Liebs remains were found on after June 27, 2006.
Wikipedia has the date the remains were found. It is all over social media. I can't find anything official but I feel there are enough people who follow the missing saying the date is after June 27th. 2006 that the date is legit.
