About that time, there was a new Victory Baptist chuch installed in Atlanta. It was considered a victory by the South Baptist Texas Convention. I sleuthed this some time ago. It would seem a strange connection to make if it was a reference by the RN author.

I doubt it, but again, the movie connection to Fatal Attraction "bunny boiler" is like the movie connections in the RN.

I would imagine her name changed in 20 years and that any children she had would not have the surname Williams. UNLESS she had a child before she married who took her maiden name and never changed it.

I find it ironic that JR described it as a Fatal Attraction kind of thing yet it was he who traced her and sat outside her house in his car. If he'd been all that freaked out by her, I doubt he'd want to find her again. I personally think it was a case of that he met the young, attractive Patsy and so he dumped Gloria. John Ramsey has proved himself unable to accept responsibility for anything which turned out wrong. I wish Ms Williams would tell her side of the story.

Narlacat, to find examples of mothers turning a blind eye to the sexual abuse of their daughters you have to delve into literature dealing with childhood sexual abuse. You will find examples of it and I agree it is very hard to believe.
I think JonBenet's medical history provides evidence for longstanding sexual abuse. Her urinary problems were not minor IMO no matter how much that pediatrician tried to downplay them. I think the fact that he did not refer her to a urologist highly suspicious, there was clearly something wrong with her and he did nothing to determine what it was, he just kept on reassuring Patsy that everything was fine. That to me is evidence of a ring and a pediatrician who was linked to them. But there, I'm getting carried away again and I know no-one believes me. So that's enough for tonight.
