GA - 4-year old Treasure McWeay starved to death by father - January 11, 2024

Jr. had little muscle mass, he was very unkempt, dirty nails, very dry skin on most extremities, minimal fat and muscle.

multiple small scars across chest back and shins. scar on right hip, long nails and toenails, beginning to curve up into the skin. He could follow some simple commands but was largely unresponsive to commands.

Jr.'s brother TJ described to medical providers physical abuse that included all of the children being punched.

TJ's (age 5) records indicate he was small for his age, not potty trained, had never been to speech therapy despite having received referrals for same in the past due to his speech delay. He exhibited aggression and had lost 60 grams in a month. He had a bruise on his forehead he described as receiving when "dad popped me"

Several patches of alopecia were noted. Low body fat, minimal muscle mass. Bruised buttock, a scar to his left leg (approx. 4 inches long), multiple small scars to his chest and back.

Last week, a state child protection investigator testified she found the children locked in a room during a welfare check months before Treasure’s death.

"This is how I have my kids trained," she recalled McWeay saying as he snapped his fingers and directed his daughter to sit silently.

Not an exact date but...

The judge said sentencing will occur in the next 30 days, but a specific date has not been set.
