Just wondering out loud... how big are those apartments? Shared room? Wonder how long she had been living there.
Typically horse farm apartments are small and basic. One of the farms I was at down here had a 16 year old working student (working in exchange for horse board and lessons) living in an 8x10 shed with a dirt floor. Her parents set her up there and were really excited about it before they went back across the state. I would definitely not leave my kid in that situation but to each their own.

And in this case, she had a roommate. You’d think very small shared room.

Oof, I have a bad feeling about this one. I do not think she left on her own accord. She looks like such a sweet young lady. I really hope she is found safe and sound.

I also feel scared about her...can’t imagine her leaving on her own. Certainly not in a way so as to leave her things behind. I hope there are cameras and also on roads or houses in the area to try to catch a glimpse of her or anything suspicious. I would not know where to start :(...

I’m betting there will be a pretty definite digital trail. Abi’s family is using the word “naive” to describe her, which is concerning. I’m really worried.

I would agree that this does not at all sound like someone who left of her own free will.

I'd like to get a better understanding of where/how the apartment is situated on the property.

Also an equestrian - sometimes barn apartments are over the barn, although the photos are a little hard to tell here. My best guess is attached to the barn potentially. Also interesting to note, the barn driveway is gated (not uncommon with horses).

Abi and I have quite a few friends in common, she seems like a lovely rider who was committed. Not likely to leave, especially if she was trying a new horse. It doesn’t appear the barn was in Ocala or Wellington for the winter, so more people should have been around. Barn’s horses seem to be mid to high five figures, so nice, but not the six figure winners.

They do have some broodmares who look ready to foal soon, I wonder if she went out to do night check?

Because honestly who even walks to the stables or outside for that matter without a flashlight on their phone?

So did she agree to talk to someone then not want to be taken and get taken? And that is why LE are worried?

How could someone enter her room or apartment and her roommate not hear?

That’s why I wonder if the apartment is attached to the barn - she went to do night check, check on the mares close to foaling maybe... doesn’t sound like the tack room was broken into, so I doubt she came across a burglary.

Would love to know if they have cameras, even just on the mares in foal, as that’s very common.

Just can’t imagine walking there without a light. Or a phone, for pictures if expecting a foal.

I can't find the article on her checking on the horses and a mare foaling?

I would hope any stable hands/farm workers have been interviewed....this is someone associated with the farm most likely.

Studio apt, one room and a bathroom.
Roommate must of fallen asleep, if not involved.
Not sure if she heard the door open and close when it was dark and saw nothing.

Twenty-two year old Abigail Toeneboehn disappeared into seemingly thin-air Thursday night from her Austell, Georgia, apartment, according to her mother Heather Toeneboehn.

“She lives in Austell part-time and at home in Auburn with me, her dad [Mike] and brother part-time,” Heather said.

Abigail was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 by her roommate, Heather said. She was in bed, watching tv on her phone. The two young women share a studio apartment and by Friday morning she was considered missing.

It seems like the sun is partly up around 6:30 these days. Possibly even a little earlier than that. I am wondering where the bathroom was. It may have been in another area. Also, who is usually at the farm at 6 and might have not been present when people began to notice she was gone? It seems like there would be activity possibly as early as 5 a.m. in a place like that. Maybe some of you horse people can speak on that.

Apologies, just speculation! Should know better than to write my stream of consciousness!

I can’t imagine walking out without a phone either, although I’ve done a quick walk through night check without mine before. Check everyone’s snug in their stall, treats, pets and lights off.

Some barns would have people there early and starting at 6-6:30AM, others don’t start up until closer to 8AM. Mine doesn’t start turnout until close to 9am some mornings. Might also depend if they have grooms, barn help, etc. or if she was responsible for those things. I wonder how many horses are on the property.

Thank you, Is there a schedule of some sort? Meaning, you have the early check/feeding etc then someone else has the lunch check-up etc. I'm just wondering if someone had/knew her schedule?

There is definitely a schedule but in this case only the barn knows what it is. I've seen conflicting reports that Abi stayed at the barn 3-4 days a week to train vs that she lived at the barn and trained 3-4 days a week (I would assume that means lessons with a pro).

I find it interesting that the barn/pro haven't posted about Abi. Their last post was 2/1, so they're not particularly prolific on fb, but I can see that the trainer was posting in groups about horse shopping here in Ocala mid-month so I know he uses it enough. If a young woman went missing from my farm, I would be breaking the internet about it. Not to be callous, but it would be because I care, but also to deflect any blame that might come my way for being the place that a girl went missing.
