I have long thin feet with long thin toes. A friend of mine tells me that my toenails are long if you can see any growth at all. My toenails, especially my big toes grow right to the end of my toe. She has squat, wide feet with short toes and almost half her toe is not covered by nail.

My SO says I cut him in my sleep with my big toe. That's when I know it's time to clip. Either that, or I feel them dragging on the sheets. I'm serious. Confessions of a long-toenail chick.

Oh, wow. I wonder if he was being investigated when he decided to leave his porch and commit these felonies and this murder or if the investigation came about as a result of him being in legal trouble from AA's murder.

The latter. And apparently begun as a result of searching his phone.

Oh my god, what a f*****g idiot.

Glad they got him, but god. Guess Gough isn’t wrong in saying that he’s thick as could be

A real idiot by videoing all his crimes. But I guess that's a good thing for us.

Do you have to have well manicured toenails to be a jogger? IMO, she was trying to dehumanise him.

You should, because if you've ever tried to jog or even walk any distance, in no socks and even slightly long toenails, it can be very uncomfortable. The entire picture she painted was of a "not jogger." Khaki's instead of sport shorts or sweats, etc. together with the no socks and long toenails, scream "not jogger." jmo

The jurors want to leave for the day- I think it is great that the prosecution gets to start fresh in the morning with rebuttal and Linda has all night to think about how she wants to present her closing.
I don’t blame them . They had all the Gough they could take for a day. IMO

have to agree. I never in a million years would have imagined that Laura Hogue could possibly be more offensive that Kevin Gough, but she managed to do so. Some of what came out of her mouth was reprehensible.

Hogue called Arbery a "recurring nighttime intruder," alleging he had been to the house at least four times before.

"Ahmaud Arbery was not an innocent victim plundering through Larry English's house on February 23" or the other occasions he visited the home, Hogue said.

[snip]

"(Arbery) died because for whatever inexplicable, illogical reason -- instead of staying where he was -- whatever overwhelming reason he had to avoid being captured that day and arrested by the police, he chose to fight," Hogue said.

Ahmaud Arbery killing trial: Attorneys deliver closing arguments in case of jogger's shooting - CNN

"We don't know what went wrong in his young life to bring #AhmaudArbery in his khaki shorts, with no socks to cover his long, dirty toenails."

the BBM is direct quote that I cannot unhear. What a dreadful, disgusting approximation of a human Ms. Hogue is for this comment.
I agree. She got that description from the autopsy report.

Respectfully, maybe he hadn't done laundry for his "jogger-appropriate" clothes. Maybe he didn't get the memo that in order to be a legit jogger, he must wear socks and cut his toenails every few days. Maybe he was going through things in his life-- like his mom said, and he'd taken up jogging as a hobby -- not a professional sport -- so he could cope. Maybe he wasn't trying to prove he was a jogger -- he was just jogging.

Maybe some runners don't wear socks like Usain Bolt.

If, and that's a big if, he was lax in personal hygiene at that time maybe it's due to depression from living in such a racist society.

Me too

Here's an article talking about the pros and cons of wearing socks while running. Maybe avoiding sock is why AA was considered to be "hauling a$$" as some sprinters prefer not to wear socks.

If it's to reduce space in the shoe, then maybe that accounts for longer toenails, too. IDK.

Not now, but in my younger years I was an avid jogger and sometimes even with longer than usual toenails and different colored shorts. Why didn't he steal anything if he wasn't jogging or is he being accused of breaking into unlocked cars from years ago?

He doesn't have the right shorts on, the right shirt on, the right toenail length, or the right skin color, apparently.
