Harris has been charged with aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Harris is not a Kennesaw State student.

The university confirmed a female student was killed following an argument in front of the Austin Residence Complex Saturday afternoon.

Harris ran away but was later caught. The victim’s age and identity were not released.

At this time, officers believe the shooting stemmed from an argument between the student killed and the suspect in custody.

Kennesaw State University Police confirmed that a female student was the victim of the shooting, which they add occurred in front of the Austin Residence Complex.

At this time, officers believe the shooting stemmed from an argument between the student and the suspect in custody.

Speaking of that suspect, police have now identified Samuel Harris as the shooter. He is being charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Authorities said in their release that Harris is not a student at the university.
