Are there any articles re: where she was missing from years ago other than the reference to Avondale Estates, which is RIGHTNEXTTOTHISCLOSE to Decatur? Watcher, Dekalb county LE doesn't have the best reputation. Heck, Derwin Brown was a police captain and the sheriff-elect of DeKalb County, Georgia, who was assassinated December 15, 2000 by defeated rival Sidney Dorsey!! This case illustrates why LE should not dismiss missing children simply as runaways.
They are underage and very vulnerable to the evils on the streets.

I agree, watcher9.. Also many times obvious indicators and clues are overlooked by officials that take the initial missing person reports. Ali Lowitzer(TX-2010) is only one example of these indicators and clues being ignored. As in IS's case, law enforcement relied on statistics, rather than the obvious, and here we are almost five years later and Ali is still missing.. The first rule of public safety was broken in both of these cases, imo; 'Plan for the worst and Hope for the best'...

The mother of Iasia Sweeting spoke out for the first time after Sweeting was found on the brink of death in a Gwinnett County motel in November...

Sweeting was so malnourished that she still has difficulty walking. "She's determined to talk, she's determined to walk, she's determined to let everyone know how she was mistreated," Morgan said.

On Friday, a judge found probable cause to continue the case into Gwinnett County Superior Court.
