Details of Disappearance​

Alejandra disappeared from Morrow, Georgia on October 12, 2003, the day after her fourteenth birthday. Authorities believe she left of her own accord. Alejandra may be in Guerrero, Mexico. Few details are available in her case.

Hmm. Why do they think she might be in Guerrero, Mexico? I'm assuming - family?

In the aftermath of 9/11, entry/exit requirements were increased, but requirements to have a passport didn't take effect until 2007-2009. So it seems that all you needed to enter/exit was proof of citizenship, like a birth certificate. Rules about minors needing permission/notarized letters from their parents/guardians didn't start until 2014.

Guerrero is also nearly 2,000 miles from Morrow. Was she with someone? Who would/could have financed this?
