GA - Alexander Lara Ayala, 35, shot to death, Mableton, 23 Feb 2015

Cobb County Police are treating a recent death investigation as a homicide. A man's remains were found in a wooded area along Ivey Road near Vinings Vintage Road in Mableton. The body was discovered shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The Cobb County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy on the remains and determine both the man's identity and his cause of death.

Cobb County police say that the body found in Mableton on Wednesday belongs to a Smyrna man.

The body of Alexander Arcides Lara Ayala, 35, was discovered in a treeline off of Ivey Road near Vinings Vintage Drive at approximately 2:15 p.m.

Jason Chester, Chelsea Walker, Christopher Brewster, and Kenneth Ransom were arrested in two separate operations on Thursday and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and violation of the Criminal Street Gang Act...

The four are suspected of killing 35-year-old Alexander Arcides Lara Ayala of Smyrna, whose body was discovered in Mableton on Feb. 25.

According to criminal warrants in Cobb County magistrate court, Brewster shot and killed Lara-Ayala Feb. 23 after Walker lured him to the 6100 block of Blackhawk Trail in Mableton to rob him of his money. The warrants identified Brewster and Ransom as members of the gang, the Ghost Face Gangsters.
