Alexis's roommate's b.f. apparently sexually assaulted her and she filed a police report.
Understandably, Alexis and her roommate were not on speaking terms when she disappeared.
The bf and roommate are now accused of murdering Alexis after the roommate finally led police to Alexis' body, which was located in a park. imo.

At that point, I would have given my daughter any amount of money to move out, and find a new place. She was obviously not in a safe living environment.

Crawford said he rubbed her shoulder and kissed her on the neck while they drank, and when she entered a restroom alone, Brantley followed.

Jones told police she found Crawford locked inside the restroom wearing only a bra. Authorities also recovered a “pair of cut panties” in the restroom, according to the police report."

But when Crawford went to her room, he followed her into her bathroom. Crawford blacked out and didn’t recall Brantley being in the room with her. Jones said she knocked on the door over and over until Brantley left, with his shirt off, claiming he didn’t sleep with Crawford. Crawford was lying on the bathroom door wearing only her bra. She later had a rape kit done at a local hospital.

I'd bet all 3 got into a heated debate about the rape and they snapped and murdered her while under the influence. That simple.

Unfortunately it makes sense to me because due to internal misogyny, conditioning etc (obviously to the extreme here), women are more prone to blame "the other woman" (the line of thinking even in cases of abuse and rape is often pretending she is lying or she was the one who seduced him). This is obviously the most tragic example of this. I have been so angry over this case for days, I could not even comment. I wish she had gotten away from them as soon as she filed that report, but I guess she expected at least her friend would side with her, or at least not help murder her. I don't even know.

Sexual assault charges go away all the time if the victim won’t or can’t testify. It’s not unlikely the charges actually would have been dropped.

Documents reveal how Alexis Crawford was strangled to death
"According to a Homicide Unit summary, Jordyn Jones, Crawford's roommate and best friend, got into a physical altercation on Halloween. The report also revealed that 21-year-old Barron Brantley, Jones' boyfriend, got involved with the fight and choked Crawford to death with his hands. The warrant for Jones alleges she "did smother the victim, Alexis Crawford, with a black trash bag until Crawford stopped breathing and was deceased."

Authorities said Brantley admitted those details during an interview on Nov. 8.

The summary went on to say that Jones and Brantley placed Crawford in a plastic bin and took her body to Exchange Park in Decatur. From there, they put her body in a wooded area.

A Fulton County Superior Court pretrial report stated Jones' father told the court she is on probation for DUI in Michigan.

Jones is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25 and Brantley on Nov. 22.

Crawford's funeral is set for Nov. 16 for 12 p.m. at Hill Chapel Baptist Church."

Sick. And probably true. I once lived with these girls who seemed okay, and it went dysfunctional very quickly. I moved out. Cost me a ton of money and hassle. Totally worth it.

I wish that I could tell so much to these young women. If you are living with someone, and it isn't "right" leave. It doesn't matter about the money. Find some place else.
