Found Deceased GA - Alexis Crawford, 21, Clark Atlanta University student, Atlanta, 30 October 2019 *arrests*

Tuesday, April 11th:
*Bond Hearing (@ 9:30am ET) – GA – Alexis Janae Crawford (21) (last seen Oct. 30, 2019, Atlanta @ Clark Atlanta University; reported missing 11/1/19; found dead (11/8/19) in Exchange Park in Decatur in DeKalb County off of Columbia Drive. Police said they were led to her body by Jones.) – *Barron Renwick Brantley (21/now 24) (BF of roommate) – arrested (11/9/19), charged (11/11/19), indicted (1/31/20) & arraigned (2/10/20) with felony malice murder & indicted (1/31/20) with murder, 2 counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, concealing the death of another & aggravated sodomy stemming from the sexual assault prior to her disappearance. Plead not guilty. Held without bond (bond denied 11/21/19).
Crawford filed a police report on Oct. 27, 2019 in regard to Jones' boyfriend, alleging unwanted kissing & touching by him. Both allegedly confessed.

11/9/22 Update: Next for both is status hearing on 3/10/23. 1/18/23: Brantley: Motion for transcript of 5/20/22 hearing. 1/27/23: Order re defendant's motion to suppress a custodial statement which was made to detectives-Granted. 2/6/23: Motion for transcript of 11/9/22 hearing. Order to admit hearsay evidence. The Court hereby admits hearsay evidence. 2/17/23: State's Motion to appeal the Supreme Court re ordering the suppression of Brantley's statements & confession (filed 1/27/23). 1/18/23: Jones: Motion for transcript for 5/20/22 hearing. 1/27/23: Motion for transcript for 11/9/22 hearing. 2/6/23: Order to admit hearsay evidence-granted. 2/6/23: Order to deny defendant's motion to suppress statements of Jones.
3/10/23 Update: Brantley only: Next bond hearing on 4/11/23 @ 9:30am.
*Jordyn Angel-Marie Jones (21/now 24) – Status conference hearing on 3/10/23. No update 4/11/23.

Looks like they had an oral arguments hearing regarding a request from a tv station to record the bond hearing. There is an Order there - but it only shows page 1 - and have to order the rest.
I am going to guess that the answer was NO - as I can not find ANYTHING on the bond hearing from yesterday. Only 1 month ago articles.

Maybe someone in the U.S. can find more?

And no update for next court hearing for Jones.

Barron Brantley and his ex-girlfriend Jordyn Jones are accused of killing Alexis Crawford in 2019.

State wants messages between defendants used to prove they conspired to kill Clark Atlanta student

The state wants to use 93 pages of Instagram messages they say show Jones and Brantley conspired to hide Crawford’s body and how to talk to detectives when they were questioned.

I know why too - the Fulton County court site was hacked in February of 2023 & have not been able to get in there. I will give you only ONE guess on "why" this court site was hacked....

So - can anyone get in? I tried, but no dice.... TIA if you can find EVERYTHING [ ] from the last notes I have on them which are:

What happened to the Clark Atlanta Alexis Crawford murder case?

For a second time in the pretrial process, which has now stretched longer than six years, the Georgia Supreme Court will have to decide an evidentiary matter.

''Any time a matter goes to the state Supreme Court, it causes a long delay. It is a deliberative body that only hears arguments a couple days a month and, once it hears arguments, a decision isn't released for 1-5 months afterward.
After regular case proceedings re-started last year following the first Supreme Court decision, a Fulton County judge issued several orders in August and September:

• One on whether a pair of expert witnesses prosecutors want to use could testify (they can);
• One on the use of 80+ pages of text messages between Jones and Brantley before and after Crawford's death (they can't be used);
• One allowing other statements and social media posts (including from Instagram) by Brantley and Jones;
• One on whether Brantley's and Jones' trials would remain separate (they will; originally, they were going to be tried together);
• And one on whether to allow "intrinsic (or documentary) evidence of the alleged sexual assault (it will not be allowed).''

As of late 2025, no trial dates had been finalized, but proceedings could resume in 2026.

Also it said it has been delays due to all the motions - which I believe are all settled now.
