GA GA - Amy Yates, 8, Carrollton, 26 April 2004

As per Wiki, "In an interview, Yates stated that '[t]he case was botched from day one. All the valuable evidence that could have been gathered was lost in the beginning. Our hopes of ever getting justice for our daughter — I don’t see any hope for that.'"

Bessie, I wonder if any of those cases are related.

I have some vague memory of something else, some other crime maybe, that was maybe related to this...I think it was mentioned in some book I read, but I can't quite yet bring whatever is hovering dimly at the edge of my brain into clearer view. I'll think on it and see if I can't recall.

This may seem a little personal but I remember watching a documentary about this on TV back when I was 10. I NEVER forgot about Amy Yates after seeing it and this still haunts me to this day :( I definitely agree with her father that the case was botched. I don't understand why they tried arresting a 12 year old boy for it. And I really feel that Johnathan Adams' confession was forced out of him, like the Stephanie Crowe murder case.
I seriously think someone else was stalking and watching this girl. It must have been a stranger that the police missed. :( It's really sad though and I really hope they find who did it :(

Winko, l will never forget this case either. The scary thing is that whoever did it, is likely still lurking the streets, unless he or she was jailed for another crime. There will likely be a second victim of the culprit is still on the loose.
