A video, posted on February 24, 2026, shows members of Street Sweeperz TV, a group known for confronting alleged child predators, walking into Alfieri's Calculus lecture and accusing him of messaging an underage boy. Alfieri's class sat stunned while the group showed printed chat screenshots as alleged evidence. He appeared shaken and admitted to making a mistake in texting the boy.

According to UGA’s official website, Alfieri serves as a Limited Term Assistant Professor in the university’s math department. UGA has not yet responded to the allegations.
