Was this presumed to be a hit and run?

Billie Jean Hall may be a candidate for this unidentified female. She left Jessup, MD to head to Florida in her Datsun mini motorhome on 2/28/85. She could have met someone along the way, hung out somewhere for a while or picked up a hitchhiker on her return back home.

Both UID and Billie are described to have blond hair and blue eyes. Height is within range and weight within 5 lbs.

UID estimated age 25-30. Billie was 24 at the time.

UID had stretch marks on buttocks and abdomen. Billie had a large surgical scar on her abdomen and a deep, wide scar on her buttocks.
(Billie also had a surgical scar on her skull which is not mentioned for UID)

I was unable to locate an article from the timeframe of when unidentified female was found. Trying to determine if she was possibly left/dumped in the location where she was found or if her coma and ultimately death could have been by a vehicle from hit and run.

This profile is a duplicate for #UP11097, who was publicly named in January 2023 as Mary Anga Cowan. The date and circumstances match, and the case number 94722585 also matches. I don't know why Appling County would have been involved in this case because Newton GA where she was first found and Albany GA where she died while in a coma are in Baker and Dougherty counties respectively, but the case is resolved.

Interesting. Thank you. Maybe identified but investigation is ongoing?

Kinda strange with the anomalies and location. One other item to note, the existing UP record in Namus and other info here in her thread indicate she was located on May 24, 1985. All articles that I find indicate May 14, 1985. These differences to me would seem to be data errors. Perhaps they also didn't realize they had duplicate entries.
