Oh I so hope they find this young lady soon!!! I live north of Atlanta and will be extra observant while out running errands this afternoon.

I've been frantically checking AJC for updates all day, scary that not ONE update has come in besides the sketch of the suspects. I sincerely hope she is untouched, but I have a feeling that despite initial reports, this family was targeted in some way. If they had the wrong house, understandable. To take the child, this doesn't feel right. I know a lot of times when things like this happen people want to feel it was a targeted crime, because otherwise it destroys our sense of safety. This story however, I dunno.

the only thing that makes me truly think this was a home invasion by strangers is the fact that mom called 911 when she heard the break-in (see fox news article). <---that coupled with the fact that LE is saying the suspects are not known to the family and they have only lived in the home for a month.

the 11alive video I just posted said that her mother walked her to the bus stop every morning. also another neighbor heard a scream when it happened. otherwise they were very new to the neighborhood and did not know many neighbors

the mom, sister and brother (and dog) were the only ones home? Is there a male/father figure in the family or are they on their own?

Has anyone heard anything about Ayvani's father?

nursebeeme, after viewing the google map link of the home/subdivision and being familiar with the geographical area. The perps likely drove their vehicle into the subdivision with a specific home investigation location in mind, imo. I feel that the Perez home was not random, but that they had been stalked.

It would be helpful to know if they were business owners, and if so what type of business they operated..
The demand for Jewelry and cash, and then the subsequent abduction of Ayvani, seems to indicate that the perps believe they have means for paying a ransom, imo.

With the 12 hour time that has lapsed they could be over 500 miles away. Imo, this is why the national MS Media has joined in to spread awareness to adjacent states..

I just woke up to see this. How Scary!!! These guys seem like pure evil.

Have the National News channels picked this up?? This needs to be covered constantly, although I know the shooting from yesterday is probably getting more attention. But poor Ayvani needs the attention asap!

Yes, it is on national news. I saw it being talked about on HLN & I saw someone else posted it had been on Fox News also.

Or perhaps they could sell her for Sex trafficking or pimp her out themselves. *shivers* She's very pretty and being from the area I've heard that trafficking is a huge problem here. All speculation on my part.

Police said two armed robbers broke into the family’s Atlanta-area home around 2 a.m. Tuesday. They demanded money and jewelry from Perez’s mother. When she told the thugs she didn’t have any, they shot the family dog and forced Ayvani from the closet where she was hiding before fleeing from the home in a gray Dodge..

I'm wondering if the family just moved in recently...where they moved from. Are they completely new to the area or simply moved within the same area? Wondering if the mom/kids changed job/schools due to the move, met new people, etc...

I'm reminded of Eve Carson, and it's hard to be optimistic. :(

anybody find any physical descriptions of the suspects besides the sketches? I've looked and can't find anything. Height? Age range?, etc... The "bald" sketch looks like he could pass for a teenager...young adult. The one with the dreads looks potentially older.
