It's important to understand that victims of incest, often have destructive attachment to their abusers. (This goes for any victim of abuse, really.) They often only feel loved if they are "loved" in the way their abuser taught them.

I will never forget one girl we counseled who had such a terribly sad attachment to her abusive father. She said she would literally pray that he would come into her room and abuse her. He got caught, because she told someone with pride. He manipulated her. He was the only one who gave her "worth." Of course, through counsel this web of hurt and destruction was slowly untangled. However, it took a long, long time for her to realize how much her father destroyed he views of love, worth, etc.

Don't judge this young girl too harshly. (Not that I think anyone is.) She probably thinks she wants to be with her dad, and that he's the only one who really loves her. It's really tragic. I hope she is found soon and given lots and lots of help.

Should be able to find these arrests... are they sound, or are they part of a nasty custody battle?

Fulton County jail records show he was charged with rape, battery and sexual exploitation of a minor between 2001-2007.

Brooklyn wasn't even born in 2001 so this guy obviously has a long history of abuse and there are probably many other victims out there. I hope they get him behind bars very soon.

An article that states Desiree Hall said when the police found her she was dropped off by another male, but the Amber Alert wasn't issued until 4 days after they went missing. So of course she was probably seeing someone else and that's who dropped her off at that time. They haven't stated where I have seen that they actually left with Brooklyn's father that night. I'm hoping that Desiree will talk, but I'm afraid she's going to protect her Brooklyn based on what she told her and not based on reality.

So quiet out there right now. I can't believe we're not seeing more in the news. The only thing I can think of is because the police is keeping things low so he can't get wind of what's going on.

Hopefully they are able to stick him with something to keep him locked up for a while this time.
This poor little girl needs time to get help and heal.
