The Macon Water Authority says one of its employees is missing after being last seen Monday.

Bernard Gibson is considered a missing person by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. The man was not at work when he went missing, but he is an employee of MWA.

Gibson was last seen driving an older model black Chevy S-10 pickup truck with Georgia license plate REU4182. The truck has race car stickers on both doors.

Wow - they have helicopters flying over the area where his truck was found.
I am curious as to who reported him missing, was it the MWA?
Or family?

I found a spring street near Macon’s historic district, but not a “spring street landing”. I don’t know if they are the same place or not.

Here is the MWA Facebook - Macon Water Authority

The Spring Street Landing appears to be a boat launch area where Spring Street crosses the river near downtown Macon

Here are pictures of the truck where it was found today. I hate that it is near water.

Oh no! RIP! Concerned about foul play, if he was found right there, he didn’t go far. Was he stuck on something? Accident? So sad!

I’m so sorry he has passed away. His employee photo really struck me - he has such a nice smile and kind face. I bet he was a sweetheart. RIP Mr. Gibson.
