I think it would be a blessing at this point to learn she had passed. :rose:
I was still a fairly young woman when I worked as an RN in ICU. After caring for a number of young people who ended up in a persistent vegetative state due to brain damage (from various causes - though most often head injuries from motor vehicle accidents) I came to the conclusion that there are things worse than death. Although there is always hope, the reality is that those who are in a persistent vegetative state usually remain that way until death occurs due to an infection, most often from pneumonia. I pray that is not the case with Bobbi Kristina, yet I agree with Hiandmighty that she was most likely brain dead when taken to the hospital. This is just based upon my experience. There are many unknown details: how long was she lying face down in the tub before her husband and his friend came upon her? Was there a text message or phone call from her before they found her, which would help pinpoint how long she had been there? If only a few minutes before she was given CPR there is a higher percentage of return to normal brain function. But, tragically most often there is an unknown amount of time before the person is found.

Rumors are that she was under for quite a long while. That is what makes me believe it would be a blessing if she did pass. I would hate for her to be trapped in an endless coma. She just wants to go home to her Mom. :rose: :rose:

Her family might wait a few days or so like Joan Rivers family did. Just a thought.

I agree she wants to be with her mother.

I secretly hope (well I guess no more secret) that if Bobbi passes, that the family doesn't announce it right away so that she may have a private burial at the site of her Mom. I really hope this doesn't turn into a media circus. And then they can make an announcement and privately grieve. I just can't imagine losing a child and I know that for all her mother's mistakes and bad decisions, she loved her daughter dearly.

ITA, katydid!

If rumors/stories are true that she and Nick were separated such that he would not have been in the home, and if other rumors/stories are true that she called him, either/both would suggest that she was under water a lot longer than had he been in the home at the time. Just.so.sad.

I am watching The Houstons: On Our Own, and I cannot believe they let the cameras keep rolling, BK was clearly going through a lot, self medicating, and often high or drunk while filming, and instead of putting her health first and STOPPING the cameras go right on rolling. Grief and drug addiction for entertainment? I can see why she had such a hard time living, she would have been better off in a family where she was able to have some space and privacy, regardless I feel like BK never stood a chance, very sad. Can't help but blame some of the family members here for having warped priorities.

Prayers for Bobbi Kristina.

"The family source added that doctors say that a recovery is technically possible, but if it happens, it'll be a miracle."

"At this moment, the Houstons and the Browns have come together for Bobbi Kristina. "Everyone is holding hands, praying, hoping for the best. Everyone knows where things are at."

It is kind of a sticky legal situation when you sign an agreement with a Reality Show. There can be expensive lawsuits if someone tries to pull the plug. I think it was a complicated situation at that point.

You know what .. if that was my family member, I'd be like 'No problem, go right ahead and sue me but you're filming without her' because that was not OK. Whole family fighting over rights to her while alive just like her mother, not hard to work out why either.

I agree with all you said. Not only did 'they' let the cameras roll, they scripted the action.

Just last week, I had said to dh, "I wish we could bring Krissi out here for a while, to get her away from...:-x" Obviously just a wish that she could get away from all of that.

Instead of meeting her in her grief in order to render effective help, 'they' set her up. Trying to bar her from Nick was like asking for her to cling harder to him as her anchor, and that's exactly what she did, until...

A far better approach would have been to take both of them under a loving wing and give them support, even if/as their relationship broke apart.

Are you referring to PH? In the Oprah special done within weeks of WH's death, PH was in all her glory being "in charge" of WH's affairs and of BK. PH had a candle business. Sitting prominently in the foreground in one of the shots was her candle, with its brand displayed. She used that opportunity to peddle her wares! Are you kidding me? So exploitive, IMO, as was Oprah. How dare they put a 19 year old whose mother just died a tragic death on view for all to gawk at? Despicable.

Bobby Brown releases statement on Bobbi Kristina Brown
Atlanta Journal
February 1, 2015

Singer Bobby Brown has released a statement about the condition of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, who was taken to North Fulton Hospital on Saturday after being discovered unresponsive in a bathtub.

“The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is accurate. No additional information will be forthcoming. Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

The statement was issued by attorney Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, legal counsel for Bobby Brown, and reported via E! and other media outlets:

I am, yes! And I fully agree with the rest of your post as well.

btw, for anyone who watches any youtubes of Houstons: On Our Own, please take note of the opening credits. You see a piano with framed photos atop, Whitney's being the largest and on-center. In the intros to the scenes, Whitney's photo is missing and the camera zooms-in to the photo of PH as the 'star'. UGH!

Yes wow huh on PH and all her 'moves'! I am hearing on Twitter *unconfirmed* that she currently has some kind of restraining order keeping Nick Gordon out of the hospital room.

Up to the episode on the series where the kids say that Cissy (grandma) hits people with her cane, even adults. Could explain a lot.

"Spare the rod, ruin the child." Sounds like she didn't mind giving her kids a good ole whopping. She is saying Bobbi needs a good spanking .. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

I had read earlier today some articles reporting that Nick was barred from the hospital. I had no doubt at the time that PH was behind that, if true. She uses brute force...does anyone really wonder what her motive might be? #obvious

Just so heartbreakingly SAD! What on earth happened here is deeply troubling to me.

IMV, as a young adult who lost a parent I adored, Bobbi Kristina's heart was shattered, and understandably so. Unfortunately, her suffering over the loss of WH occurred in a fishbowl of publicity, where her best interests were clouded by the interests of others, and appeared to have been out of her own reach. :moo:

It is unclear if anyone was truly able to hear her cries for help - and I cringe to think of all that has transpired since her mother's own tragic and public passing.

Now, as we await word of her condition, my heart is so very heavy. It deeply hurts, as a mom, to think that this beautiful soul may not find her peace anywhere but as an angel in Heaven, wrapped in God's loving arms, reunited with her beloved Mom. :twocents:

:praying:

:candle:
