According to the arrest warrant, Napoleon Ates, 36, used his fists and a belt to beat the boy in early June at a home on Old Rock Cut Road near Forest Park, accusing the boy of stealing money from him. The beatings continued over multiple days, the most severe on Sunday, June 4, police said.
[.....]
The preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for July 24 due to medical reasons.

It's hard to believe this child was allowed to remain in that abusive home. That's a crime in itself.

This right here is the problem. He just keeps getting away with it. And now he’s out on bond. We need to hold these judges accountable

I just don't understand how a mother could sit by and watch her child being beaten.... almost to death. This guy should be tied up and given the same as he gave the little boy. Hope the sweet child can recover.
I agree, he should not be out on bond, he is a monster.

BBM because 1) WHY DO THESE ABUSERS ALWAYS TRY TO GIVE THE CHILDREN AN ICE BATH??? WHAT SORCERY DO THEY THINK THIS DOES TO "CURE" THE DAMAGE THEY HAVE DONE???? and 2) she got her nails did. While her child lay suffering near death at home after the magical ice bath didn't restore him????

:mad::mad::mad:
The "ice bath" is a "conventional underground 'wisdom' re: drug overdoses" thing.

I vaguely remember it being discussed in media/tangential comments after the death of Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of 90's singer (and Whitney Houston widower) Bobby Brown, passed away in some sordid situation with her "drug companions".

It probably never makes any sense without the individual has received a "hot shot" of drugs (and maybe not even then) causing their brain to go into dangerous overheated overdrive; but it's somehow spread as the cure-all amongst these fringe-societal pea-brains.

I can not access this article - if someone could give a 10% synopsis on this?

Very short article.

The child has come out of a coma and is slowly recovering.

Mother failed to take him to the hospital for two days.

These people are monsters.

Strong little guy!

Disturbing. Interesting that the "mother" took the child to the hospital. Surprised that they just didn't throw him away in the trash.

Also, confused by the fact that the BF had a warrant out, for previously abusing this child, and yet, the child had not been removed from the home at that time. (?)

At least this child is getting the care he needs now, and sounds like he is going to live. Tough little guy.

:mad::mad::mad:
I am guessing a reduction of swelling so no one can tell it is why an icebath ,was offered. It not would shock me at this point to hear she had taped potatoes all over him to hide bruises.
