A Columbus man has been missing for more than two weeks now his family and friends are worried he may have met with foul play.
34 year old Brent Ford was last seen at the Thunderbird Motel on Victory Drive but 16 days later, Ford hasnt made contact with anyone in his family.
His mother , Brenda Ford tells First News it is highly unusual to go more than two days without contact.
His mother says he has been diagnosed with a mental illness which could complicate the search for Ford.
An investigator from the Columbus Police Departments Special Victims Unit was assigned to the case this past Friday.
His mother said he was asked to leave the property because he didnt have any identification.
The Manager of the Thunderbird confirmed people are not allowed to stay at the Motel without an id card.
Where the Columbus man has been since that September day remains a mystery.
