Fredrick Lee Huffman? Local to Atlanta and the clothing descriptions and estimated age/height fit as well as timeline. I do understand that his vehicle was found in Florida, but not his body. And there’s a semi-implication that he may have been depressed. And I do see similarities in the sketch provided, most notably the hair

It seems like he was found in the area of the Johns Homestead Park, which has a parking area and nature trails. There are also several businesses, a cemetery, and some churches where you could easily walk from, if you so chose. Be interesting to know if there were any abandoned cars in the area in the months prior.

Agreed! Fredrick Lee Huffman really seems to fit as this UP. And his car was found abandoned in FL after he went missing. Perhaps an opportunist took his vehicle.

On December 10, 2024, the DeKalb County Cold Case Task Force announced the identification of John Doe, the unidentified man found deceased in a wooded area off Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker on November 12, 2021.

John Doe, discovered by a survey team from the Georgia Department of Transportation, was wearing gray New Balance sneakers, dark pants, a tan and white striped shirt, and a navy blue windbreaker.

The Task Force submitted a DNA sample from John Doe's mother to Othram, a private laboratory located in The Woodlands, Texas. This confirmed that the remains belonged to Terry Prater, who was 26 years old.

Terry Prater had been reported missing on June 20, 2021. He had been dropped off at a bus station in Lexington, Kentucky, to visit his mother in Savannah, Georgia, but he never arrived.

Rest in peace Terry.

The sketch of him was very good, basically an age progression of him. I guess the age estimate of 30-50 impeded a quicker match.

Here's what his mom had to say about Terry.

Sometimes it takes a few days for Namus to remove a missing page after a person is located.
