A man who's been missing since August 2025 was found dead inside a storage unit in Macon.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office (BSO), investigators were sent to the 10 Federal storage units along Riverside Drive while working a missing persons case.

Inside one of the units, authorities found a dead body, and Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones confirmed the identity to be Douglas Salyer. Salyer has been missing since August of last year.
Coroner Jones did not specify how his office was able to determine his identity, but he said that the body was likely inside the unit since October 2025.

Not sure whether People is considered MSM - reporting my own post so mods can delete if needed.

Anyhow, the article below published in People says that his body was found in a "plastic bin" inside the storage unit. If that's the case, I hope his end was quick and painless, as opposed to more terrible imaginings. Being in the bin also makes it more clear-cut that foul play occurred, and I hope the perpetrator can be brought to clear justice.
