What a sick sick SICk man, he needs to NEVER see the light of day again. I wish they had went forward on ALL the charges.

ATLANTA -- When he was arrested after getting off a flight at a New York airport in 2004, Gainesville anesthesiologist Gregory Kapordelis was charged with traveling to Russia to have sex with young boys.

The government used a relatively new law at the time that makes it possible for U.S. citizens who molest children abroad to be prosecuted for the crime in federal court at home.

Three years and four revised indictments later, Kapordelis heads to trial Monday no longer facing any molestation charges, the government having decided not to move forward on the Russian counts.

A golden predator. One with the means and opportunity to commit the crimes and the funds to defend himself against them.

Exactly, concernedperson. Disgraceful piece of garbage. I wish he would be locked up forever.

This is the way this sort of thing(below) is phrased all the time.

traveling to Russia to have sex with young boys.

Nope....He traveled to Russia to rape/sexually assault young boys. Having sex is what two consenting adults do.

I feel so sad for those poor boys, for they had so little to begin with.

The freak is living here making a good living and enjoying all the advantages, then going over there taking advantage of young boys. He doesn't deserve to live in the U.S. or have a profession allowing him this kind of money to use on his perverted crimes. I hope they find some way to take his medical license along with jail time.

The sad thing is that this is much more common than we think. Look at the child sex industry in Thailand.

JURY FINDS DR. KAPORDELIS GUILTY ON CHILD 🤬🤬🤬🤬 CHARGES

Gainesville Anesthesiologist Convicted After Approximately 4 Hours Of Deliberation

ATLANTA, GA-- GREGORY C. KAPORDELIS, 46, of Gainesville, Georgia, was convicted today by a federal jury on charges of production, receipt, and possession of sexually explicit images of children, after a three-week-long trial in federal court in Atlanta.

"Gregory Kapordelis, a doctor in a position of trust, sexually molested young boys, at times while they were sleeping and, on one occasion, after supplying a child with alcohol," said Assistant Attorney General Alice S. Fisher. "He memorialized that abuse
when he produced child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 overseas, in addition to his other child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
crimes. This prosecution demonstrates the Department of Justice's ongoing commitment
to protecting all children from these serious crimes."

United States Attorney David E. Nahmias said of the case, “In public, Gregory Kapordelis was a respected doctor; in private, he was a monster who preyed on young boys. He befriended the boys and their parents to gain their trust, then he betrayed that trust by molesting these boys and making child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 by taking photographs of them. Kapordelis molested boys in the United States and abroad. In addition, he maintained a collection of thousands of graphic pictures of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and hundreds of videos of boys having sex. These crimes are almost unimaginable, and we are gratified by the jury’s guilty verdict. We will seek the longest possible sentence for Kapordelis to insure that he never has the chance to harm young boys again.”

After only about four hours of deliberation, the federal jury found KAPORDELIS guilty of three counts of using a minor to produce a sexually explicit image, two counts of receipt of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, and one count of possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Good. You choose to sink to the bottom of the morality barrel, you can pay for it with your entire education, your career, your reputation, AND your freedom. Was it worth it? :furious:

And all the education, success, admiration, and liberty this man could pay will never give back to those poor young boys what was taken from them.

kbl-where are all those doctors who usually come out in support of these guys? Writing passionate commentary about how the offender should be allowed to actively practice medicine in prison, and what a waste it is to keep them behind bars ;)

Blech. I suspect the Dr's time is going to be very, very hard time.
