Hope I did this right.

White male, 50s, found in the midst of a cardiac event on the side of a road.

"Now deceased, the man was wearing khaki cargo shorts, a white shirt, white Nike sneakers and a white University of North Carolina hat. He had a “distinctive scar on his left arm” and was wearing “what appeared to be purple gardening gloves.” Based on keys found in his pocket, authorities believe he may drive a 1998 to 2002 Toyota."

"Police released a photo of the man Thursday evening. He was in cardiac arrest when first responders found him off the side of S. Old Peachtree Road, near Lou Ivy Road, around 10:15 a.m. on July 29. That’s an area in Peachtree Corners near Berkeley Lake."

Can anyone think of why someone would be out in a random neighborhood wearing gardening gloves?

Working as a gardener or landscaper

Dumpster diving or trash picking

Gathering aluminum cans to turn in for cash

All great answers! I wish they could have IDed this guy before he passed so his loved ones could have said goodbye.

I agree about the scar and the tan line. That is definitely a scar from the surgical repair of a break, my BIL has a very similar scar from a broken arm. And that tan line is from a watch or wide bracelet (which is unlikely on a man of his age) for sure!

One more suggestion as to why he was out there: perhaps a college professor/teacher, collecting some sort of botany specimen or insect in preparation for teaching or some type of research?
