According to this article, they're now doing DNA testing to do genealogy work get this young girl identified. Fingers crossed this will lead to something. There's just something about her that keeps sticking with me ever since I heard about this case. The only good thing about this is that I'm liking how genetic genealogy is starting to become the go-to in cases like this to get them solved. It's really become such a gift for those who want to see them get their names back.

Missing Person Case (namus.gov) There is very little info on this NamUs page...but the hair says red/auburn. Her height is off by a few inches. Just adding it to the mix. Still searching through the database. Not a far drive either.

"She was last seen at her home on Lula Powell Drive, Knoxville on February 7, 2022. She may be with her sister, Meagan who was reported missing in January." I can't find anything about the sister's report.

I also found another missing girl, Lea Tanay Huntington, who left Knoxville on Feb. 11, the evening before our UID was found, to possibly meet someone in Atlanta. The description's not real close, but the circumstances are scary. Missing Persons: Lea Tanay Huntington

My guess is she’s had more than one adult responsible for her care - foster care or informal arrangements with family/friends. Plenty of kids lost one/both guardians to covid as well. If a school isn’t missing her, she may have graduated early, dropped out, or moved among several schools. JMO.

I learned about “shadow” foster care a few months ago - she may have lived under type of arrangement. I’m not a social worker, but shadow foster care + increasing number of adults deaths (covid & fentanyl) sounds dangerous.

I think you could be on to something here. Alicia’s NamUs profile is down. According to this article, she would have been about 100 pounds heavier than the Jane Doe, but several months had passed. The resemblance is very strong.

It could still be a match. Different LE agencies have different timing on when they take a case file off line. (There's one case in Colorado where the victim has been identified, the killer located, tried, and sent to jail, and an annual memorial for the victim has been set up, and her case file is still active )
