Crews continue search for missing Georgia hiker near Appalachian Trail

On Tuesday, officials were still searching for Noonkester. A Facebook post from the agency said the last known whereabouts of Noonkester was on difficult terrain and could be dangerous in places.

Authorities urged anyone with information or wanting to volunteer with the search effort to contact them.

This is a sad outcome. I'm always "glad" to see a resolution to a missing person case, especially for the family who is searching and wondering. But it sure is a shame. He had big plans that barely got off the ground.
