I just keep waiting for facts.
I thought there was to be a court hearing last month. Has anyone heard anything about it?
imo
I just keep waiting for facts.
I have not posted in quite some time as I, like everyone else, have not seen any "new" evidence or media coverage. It's like the whole case has been relegated to the abyss of a bad memory.
Yet, they, the victims, are still very vibrant in my mind. Little things trigger happy memories, yet bring to the surface the cold fact that no more memories will be made.
I read back over the last pages since I was last here. And as usual, it only raises more questions. Before I will believe that Guy did this, many points will have to be answered. I will also say that if indeed he did it, then the death penalty is almost too easy for him. He will deserve whatever fate allows.
As for the hair evidence, I have never seen Guy Junior with hair long enough to grasp. He has worn a "buzz" cut as long as I have known him. I see no way it could be his.
Much will have to proven to me.[/QUOTE]
I think that is typical of every case discussed here. We all will want to see the evidence they have against this defendant in order to be able to understand the jury's verdict when it is handed down. I still say this case will not come to trial for another year or two though.
It will be interesting to learn if they have discovered who the hair belonged to. For all we know it may belong to one of the victims and the victim with the hair in their hand may have tried to pull one of the victims out of harms way and got their hair tangled up in their hand.
It doesn't have to belong to the murderer imo.
imo
I recently read the same thing that Guy was in court last week. The stated charges were possession of marijuana & Darvocet, Interfering with a police investigation and evidence tampering. So they are going ahead with the initial charges first. Was it an arraignment or something else? The murder charges were part of this. My legal knowledge is as bad as my memory - I just read the article.
Once charged is it possible when the DA has all the forensic evidence in and all the facts as he or she understands them; that the charges could be dropped for lack of evidence?

Sorry - I meant to say the murder charges Were Not part of this hearing. I got this from the January 1 edition of Jacksonville.com
A frantic 911 call. A horrific crime scene almost too grisly for words. A family member accused.
About 8:30 a.m. Aug. 29, Guy Heinze Jr. called 911 to report his entire family had been beaten to death. Glynn County, Ga., police sped to New Hope Plantation Mobile Home Park, where they found seven dead and two others gravely injured inside a mobile home. One of the survivors - a teen with Down syndrome - died within days. The sole survivor, a 3-year-old boy, continues to recover.
The 22-year-old construction worker faces the death penalty if convicted of even one of the killings.
What's next: Pretrial hearings are expected soon, but no date has been set.
I have the same problem as everyone else who is untested in this case has. There is just plain no new information and there hasn't been any in months. There was very very little information given out at the time of the crime and scant little since (The search warrant was public and interesting) There isn't even old news on any of the people, no history, no news person grabbing hold of this awful crime and writing about it. At least two of the diseased photos are clearly police mug shots - why? I'm afraid Ocean is quite right. We will hear nothing until the trial.
I would have loved to be a defense lawyer (I didn't have the grades or memory for Law School to be quite honest) I do believe Guy Heinze to be innocent of murdering anyone, In My Opinion. Also; Who said anything about Methadrine other than someone on line? When Guy was arrested it was for a small amount of marijuana and "some" Darvocet (a mild narcotic). Not exactly a big drug bust haul. As far as anyone really knows Guy may have used drugs but there is no indication he was addicted to anything and None that he was in any way high that morning of August 29. The police certainly would have wanted a blood alcohol test and blood screen for drugs. { I wonder if they did, Could Guy refuse? Did he? Was he asked at all?) I have never heard mention of that either. I do know as does everyone who has listened to the 911 tapes that Guy returned to the trailer and can clearly be heard yelling for an ambulance that his cousin was still breathing.
Real, provable Information from knowledgeable sources about this case is clamped down so hard that it seems water tight.
I am waiting impatiently for any new information ....

Finally a real update and very good news too. The article dated 11-5-09 says 3 year old Byron Jimerson is doing very well recovering (and even talking) in a Savannah hospital. There is a really nice photo there of him with his grandmother (Diane Isenhour) He looks so good in the photo I'm afraid it may have well been taken before August 29, 2009 but I don't know. I hope he is able to look like that again. Thank God it seems he will be OK.
There are also many good links here for anyone who wants to look at them, "ActionNewsJax" and Jacksonville.com have the most up-to-date reporting. I assume they are both local?
The link also has a picture of the accused. It says he has been arrested in relation to the murders but is thought NOT to be responsible for them.......
what the heck does that mean?
I think that was an older article from the site dgfred right after it happened.
I do like it because it keeps all articles pertaining to the case on their website it seems.
imo
