GUILTY GA - Gene Siller, 41, Paul Pierson, 76, & Henry Valdez, 46, murdered, Cobb Co, 3 July 2021 *ARREST*

I don't see that LE has really asked the public for information about the whereabouts of Pierson or Valdez, or even posted their photos.

They don't seem to need the public's help in putting together this story, other than the local LE initially putting out an (erroneous) physical description of Mr. Siller's killer.

Sure sounds like there a great deal of informatin they don't want or need to be public.

Civil asset forfeiture is a very common procedure in recent years and its getting a lot of negative attention in the news media. They were probably making a lot of money on the seizures they conducted on Rhoden and on any of the people he tipped them to.

ETA: I have to admit when I read of all Rhoden's past arrests, I thought "LE is really making a lot of money on these busts."

Disgusting isn't it?
Only thing I have to add currently is if he is a CI, he thought he was untouchable, because up to now he has been. He's too cocky. If he is, and if he is involved with the criminals the cops wanted to get at, I would not be surprised if he turns up dead. MOO.

BBM
And all those arrests, forfeit the cash and let him go--he's quite the cash cow.
Criminal Defense Attorney Meg Strickler said, "public records show he forfeited more than $85,000 and a car to the government in 2019".

Here's another $85,000 with no details, plus the airport $19,000 =$104,000.
And a car.
Forfeited 2 years after his drugs, guns, and attempted murder non-bust at GSU.
Chamblee County said they confiscated "a large amount of cash" the night of the triple murder but we don't know how much.
I've never worked as an informant or even been arrested, but this is how I imagine all this works:
These forfeitures are not his money. He sets up the deal between buyer/ seller, gets fake busted with the buyers cash and all the buyer knows is the cops confiscated his cash but he's not in trouble. The buyer thinks he made out on the deal and is thankful he has a loyal partner. Probably gives him more money for fake lawyers.
All the while an investigation is ongoing, gathering surveillance and phone records for a later trial against the seller.
The forfeiture is never mentioned again and is not part of the case. Jmo/speculation.
One thing I know for sure, forfeitures just disappear, often with no arrest. There was one in CA where the feds took three nice houses that were paid off, cars, boats, farm equipment, from a father and son illegally growing way too much pot. But no charges.

If he's a CI and if I were a betting person I wouldn't bet on his life. He must fear every single person in the Fulton County jail right now, including the guards.

He’s in Cobb County jail.

If he keeps losing the seller’s money, shouldn’t the seller have caught on by now if it seems suspicious to the average person? Surely, they’d be looking at this more closely along the way, right?

And still wondering about getting two men in back of truck on his own, tying up both of them on his own - then driving to this golf course at an inconvenient time of day. Seems like extra work for the same outcome. Why not just kill them where they were bound and be done? It seems so dumb that one could imagine if anyone else was involved, they wanted him to get caught.

Yes, agreed. Why have we heard nothing about Valdez and Pierson, either from LE or their families? I only saw one short statement from Valdez' sister. Seems LE did piece together the back story pretty quickly.

Also, they lured him back to the station under the premise of giving him his money back. I wonder if they ever actually do this or have done this for him before so that he wouldn’t get in trouble with the supplier/seller because he was cooperating. Does LE ever do that? Do they ever return some funds? He went to the station willingly so he didn’t seem skeptical of the offer.

All Georgia has to do is legalize medical and recreational use of marijuana and most all of these arrests, trials, incarcerations, etc. go away. So do the murders, assaults, gun proliferation and other problems they see from people like Rhoden. He would be either put out of business or forced to go legit.

I haven't seen the details yet, but I assume his case is being handed to a grand jury in order to keep the details out of the public domain.

Nope, he was charged by LE, without the grand jury... charges listed above, done deal to get an arrest warrant... which happened. So, now we await prelim.

Lemme go grab in case you missed... brb.

Who is Bryan Rhoden, the suspect accused of a triple murder at a Cobb County country club?

"Rhoden has been charged with three counts of felony murder, three counts of aggravated assault and two counts of kidnapping."

Or are you referring to MORE charges e.g. drugs etc etc etc. Potential CI stuff not wanting to get into public yet? But would ONLY be what the prosecutor wants to release, and not all of his CI stuff... if he indeed is a CI.

Good thought! That could be added on later, and done in private hearings through grand jury. I'm sloooooooooooooooooow, thanks for the tickler.

It is interesting that Gene Siller funeral has already happened, but I haven't seen any funeral arrangements for Henry Valdez or Paul Pierson. Is it possible that those bodies haven't been released to the families yet? And why not?

That's a good question.... aren't there any verified LE's on here that ever answer questions?

Right, Cobb Co., I got confused by his previous troubles in Fulton.
The forfeitures were years apart and he has probably worked with many people who are not connected.
A lot of people don't read the news unless it concerns them, there was just enough reported to confirm that LE took his money, proof to a seller that he's not just ripping them off but that seller probably wouldn't work with him anymore. Also, by the time the next forfeiture happened the previous seller could very likely be in prison.
This is all just speculation pulled from my imagination, I don't really know anything about this case but have lived many years around an area of some big pot dealers in CA and have heard talk about local cases.
Three people who were shot in the head over a big pot theft in my area met the guy in the local coffee shop looking for pounds. People can be way too casual about who they deal with.

Oh how I wish that was true, the jails and prisons wouldn't have as much business but people will keep killing people over valuable things.
