GUILTY GA - Gene Siller, 41, Paul Pierson, 76, & Henry Valdez, 46, murdered, Cobb Co, 3 July 2021 *ARREST*

The day labor idea sounds completely plausible, but police said Valdez is from California. Did he maybe relocate here very recently?

If I drove to my local Home Depot and asked each day laborer where they were from, I doubt they would say my location.....likely they would be from California, Nevada, Texas, etc.....

Very true! I just assumed it meant he did not actually live in Cobb County. Sorry about that!

And if I keep going with my theory, it would make sense that Paul Pierson, from out of town hiring help may have had a lot of cash on him. I know that when I go out of state, I get cash beforehand, b/c there's no guarantee that it will be easy to find an ATM for my bank in the new city.

Interesting that the Police say that they are still working on a motive. If the motive was robbery and the cash was gone, and no witnesses that would also explain how the Police have no evidence of a motive.

I also think there was some sort of drugs involved due the shooter's erratic behavior.

If he wanted to just steal cash from a 76 year old man, he could have just done that, why kill 3 people in the process?

One more thought. We know at least 7 bullets were used, right? Five were shot at Gene Sillers and at least one each for the two bodies in the bed of the truck. How many bullets does the standard handgun hold? I wonder who the gun belonged to? Also I wonder if it was left at the Country Club lake? Perhaps if the gun was left at the scene, another reason the Cobb Police thought the shooter was not an immediate danger to the community?

My friend plays tennis on a team that was supposed to play out of Pinetree CC today. All players decided they weren't comfortable and moved the matches to another location. The community is not feeling safe. I wish the Police would give more information of why they don't feel the shooter is still an immediate threat....

From KSU Twitter on July 3rd

UPDATE: Suspect was seen approximately 35 mins ago on Club Drive headed towards Shiloh Road. Suspect has long hair, a white/tan shirt and dark-colored work pants.

Rereading this statement from KSU. Noticing that he left Club Drive, headed towards Shiloh Road. When I map that, what do I see, Home Depot, see attached map. He didn't head towards KSU - the would be the best place to get lost in a crowd. I would think he likely headed to where he started the crime or where his friends were, or where someone could pick him up! Also notice the description says "work pants", not navy pants, not dark khaki pants, but "work pants". IMO, I think he was likely a day laborer, and interesting that he was headed straight towards HD after shooting Gene, see attached map.

Also the 76 year old Paul Pierson that I found online with assets/businesses and a Ram truck linked to Nevada and Kansas is the CEO/President of an environmental remediation company that boasts doing work in all 50 states. They deal with things such as ground water treatment.

Pierson's family said he was in town on a "business trip". I imagine that type of business would require digging holes, to assess issues. What if his normal procedure is to drive to the new potential job and hire help that day?

IMO, I wonder if Pierson picked up two day laborers at that Home Depot to help with whatever job he was about to start that day?

Pierson's family is clearly in communication with the Police since they know he was here on a business trip, and from out of town.

If this is the situation, then it would explain why Police are saying he's not a danger to the community. They probably figured out the shooter's identity around the same time they ID'd Henry. And I'm guessing the shooter is long gone by now.....so no need for Cobb Police to issue a BOLO on him.

And I was shopping at this Home Depot earlier this week! I wish I would have asked if there had been any Police activity there!!!! I will if I go back!

I think this is a pretty good theory.
It made no sense to me how the killer could walk through a neighborhood and not be caught, he had to have a destination and your Home Depot idea would solve that.
Plus the transient nature of day laborers would explain why their is no ID of the guy yet.
My only hesitation on the theory would be LE’s “he’s not a threat” statement”(how do they know). Also it seems that the news media would know LE was exploring that possibility.
All totaled though, I like your thinking!

Mystery of pro-golfer triple homicide in Georgia deepens | Daily Mail Online

"In the days before the incident, Siller had confronted a man who had been fishing on the golf course and the man became so agitated that Siller called the police, Fox 5 Atlanta reports.

It is unclear if the incidents are related."
From the Daily Mail article :

The Public Safety Office for nearby Kennesaw State University put out a description of the subject as 6'1", long hair, hispanic, dark colored workpants and a tan or white shirt.

While looking at Google Earth, it appears it would have been easy to access the golf course and Frey Lake off of several roads
surrounding the golf course.

I had read from post upstream that the family was going to make an announcement to MSM yesterday. I think it was to have been Gene's family, perhaps to thank folks for the largess of the $$ fundraiser and to highlight the case. But nothing happened even though MSM said it would happen the day before. And still, nothing that MSM has gotten from the other family of the now identified person from their affiliates.

I could see the fishing incident being related if the guy had just come back and shot Siller.
I doubt though, the guy would have killed two other people and then come back to get revenge Siller.

Regarding driving onto the golf course. I wonder if the truck had a navigation system in it that was using the map dvd it came with. I live above a golf course. When we moved here, google maps showed the paved golf cart paths as actual roads. The maps showed the golf cart paths connecting to various neighborhood streets (none of them actually did). A lot of people drove up our road looking for the connecting roads that didn't exist.

The victim from California definitely isn't a day laborer. He is from California, he used to own a clothing business but based on his linkedin page, he is now a wine consultant.

There's a winery about an hour and a half from Kennesaw. Chateau Elan.

The mystery deepens. I am confused as to why these businessmen from out west didn't fly to Atlanta rather than drive.

This is business convention season, and Atlanta is one of the biggest convention centers in the world. I wonder if one or more of them was here for a convention, maybe something set up for people interested locating their business in Georgia.

Based on the equipment visible in the back of the truck, it looked like Pierson was prepared to work. The Atlanta area is a huge convention area, I totally agree! Has it been said if the Atlanta area was their destination?

5 days after golf course shooting that left 3 dead, killer still on the loose

Hopefully there will be an arrest warrant issued soon. Hearing that gives me hope that the police at least have some idea who the shooter is. Does Cobb County Sheriff using the “fugitive unit” mean they believe the shooter is still in this area?

Flying can be a nightmare these days! My husband flew out of ATL yesterday, and they put everyone on a plane, then told them to get off, then sent them to another gate, put them on another plane, taxied forever, then they thought maybe they were going to be moved to a third plane, etc. I think they took off 4 hours later than scheduled.

There's also the whole mask mandate situation also. I have a friend that's a flight attendant so I hear all about it. I also know people who refuse to fly b/c of the required mask.

Also regarding the white truck, it did look like there was a good bit of equipment in the back. Maybe in his line of business, it's easier to drive to the location vs. flying equipment.
