27 June 09

Thomas County investigators continue to search for clues in the missing woman's case of Glenda Quisenberry.

Investigators say in 1989 Quisenberry lived in a trailer off Lost Arrow Road with her then boyfriend Jerry Hobbs. Authorities say after a brutal attack with Hobbs, Quisenberry went to a shelter for battered women. And from there she was never seen or heard from again.

Lieutenant Tim Watkins with the Thomas County Sheriff's Department says, "We are searching the area where Mr. Hobbs admitted to investigators that he brought her the night she disappeared."

Circumstances of Disappearance:
Quisenberry was last seen at a women's shelter in Thomasville, Georgia sometime during June 1989. Witnesses saw her being carried away over the shoulders of her then boyfriend, Jerry Hobbs. She has never been heard from again.

Quisenberry kept in close contact with her family at the time, and was reported missing by her loved ones in August 1989. Her family believes she'd met with foul play, as there was a history of domestic violence between Quisenberry and Hobbs.

Hobbs stated he last saw Quisenberry in a trailer on Lost Arrowhead Lane off Carter Road, near Stewart Road, where she was intoxicated and passed out. He left to go get something to eat, and when he returned, she was nowhere to be found.

The investigation into Quisenberry's case was reopened in 2009 and blood was found in the trailer she disappeared from. In May 2009, Hobbs was arrested and charged with her murder, but the case against him was dismissed for lack of evidence. He moved to Washington state and is now deceased. Foul play is suspected in Quisenberry's case due to the circumstances involved, but her body has never been recovered.
