I'm still not finding the WSB news where he said he had come home and left again. Could you please post a link? That could be a game changer. There has been a lot of discrepancies between media as to the dates she actually went missing. But his last account appears to be Stefan last seeing her on Saturday and then hearing from her around noon on Sunday, which was supposedly the last contact to family/friends and he believed she was heading home. Her car was then found at the Courtesy Inn later that Sunday night and he was called. It was 9:30 at night and I can't imagine them doing a room to room search. On another forum, someone posted that the Jeep had been sitting beside the dumpster all weekend. Where is the friend in Acworth she was supposedly with Saturday night? If her car was parked there all weekend, she must've gotten a ride, but did she not take her belongings? So many questions. Were her clothes in the car clean or dirty? Did she pack for a night or a week? Was her purse left behind or was the ID and wallet inside a purse that is also missing? Was the Jeep dusted for any other prints besides hers? Hopefully the phone records will give details on where she was before her phone was turned off.

Found the article. It just didn't make sense to me. First she has a girlfriend weekend, then comes home, just to turn around and leave again to go to another friends house in Acworth (that we've heard nothing from). He has made several points to say they had no argument??? I think most of us would be upset over all the things he said she had supposedly been doing.

I don't know how common this is - but my 2yr & 5yr olds are terrified of the car wash. Our minivan is white so I go every now & then - and I go alone. The kids don't seem to have any other unusual fears but boy they are not fans of the car wash!

They are cats! Not sure how common this is tho. No. Just kidding. I just know the one thing you don't want to do is go thru a car wash with cats in the car especially sitting on your lap.

I would not volunteer to test the cat car wash theory - LOL! But I would love to send the neighborhood cat that leaves mice (and sometimes just pieces of mice) on my doorstep every morning - through a car wash. (Just to ruffle his feathers, of course.)

Thank you, Gardner. He keeps saying, "She wouldn't just have left. He seems to think she was taken against her will. OR does he want everyone else to think she was abducted to get the heat off him? As far as we know, he is the only one who knows her last whereabouts. Another thing that has made me suspicious of him from the beginning is when he stated in one of the news video that, "her children WERE the world to her". This is past tense. I have seen in other crime stories where this was a clue, such as Susan Smith, who drowned her boys but told everyone they were abducted. She referred to them in a past tense. I sencerely & wholeheartedly hope I am wrong. I want nothing more than for her to come home to her husband & kids & live happily ever after.

So her phone and ID were gone. That sounds like the two things I would take with me if I were going out to a bar/club with a bit of cash in my pocket. I don't like taking my purse in places where I might be up and moving around, just because I don't want to drag it around or have to keep an eye on it all night or possibly leave it behind on accident. That seems to fit with the "girls weekend" or "girls night out" plans mentioned. If she was meeting someone and being picked up, I could also see her just grabbing her ID and phone if they weren't planning on going anywhere.

It gets a bit harder for me to come up with a reasonable scenario for the open door and the key laying on the ground. Who was the first person to the Jeep? Was the door wide open or just barely cracked or just unlocked? I could see keys falling out of a pocket without realizing they'd been dropped and I could see a door not getting shut all the way and not realizing it, but I can't see anyone purposely leaving a door wide open. Could someone have been checking out the inside for something to steal and someone interrupted? The Jeep was unattended in a shady looking hotel parking lot rumored to have some unsavory visitors/residents. A thief seems more probable than a random adultnapper.

I wish we had a bit more info on what was left behind and maybe a public statement from any of the "friends" she was supposed to be with in the days prior to her disappearance.

I can't imagine my husband being so agreeable about any girls night out for multiple days in a row after a recent accident and an arrest. Although I could imagine a husband feeling helpless if home life is anything like I could imagine. Both of my step-brothers had drug problems and I remember my mom and step-dad going from angry and trying to keep them at home all the time to hopeless and defeated when they just started leaving whenever they felt like it or when they were arrested again. They knew arguing would just exacerbate the issues and trying to keep them from leaving was futile.

I am betting it was just the Jeep keys on the ground as well and not the keys to her home as well.

I even put rental car keys on the ring with my house and other keys. ( Or I will lose one or the other) I doubt many other people are as bird brained and forgetful as I am.

An agent form the GBI came in yesterday and the FBI joined today.
The family met with them today.
I have to think they have some knowledge about what happened to her.
At the very least they have corroborated the timeline (or not)

The police were the ones to find the car. LE has not released anything about the door being open but some articles quote her cousin as saying the door was left open a crack.

Thanks for the timeline! This is the first missing person case I have followed so intently and am in absolute disbelief over all of the inaccuracies between the media postings and family and friends. From your sources above, I would discount patch and the daily tribune because their articles have conflicting dates within the same article. Unfortunately, many of the news stations also have conflicting information that just doesn't add up. Her cousin directly stated on another forum that the last date of contact with family or friends was Sept. 18th (Sunday). So the reports of her leaving her home on Sept. 19th would have to be discounted. Someone saw her leave a different friends house, was it on the 18th or 19th? If reported to the media by the family, this person would have to know her state of mind and where she was headed. Some of her family had to know what was going on with her the last couple of months and who she was associating with. While it's understandable that her family may not want the public to know this private information; unfortunately, a coverup makes me suspicious as to whether it was done to protect Heather's image or other family/friends involvement. If she was involved with drugs, LE would likely want names. Hoping the phone records shed some light to contacts and these mysterious dates.

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. - Efforts to find a missing Cartersville mother are ramping up. The GBI has now joined local law enforcement in the search for 27-year-old Heather McDonald.

Stefan McDonald holds back tears as he talks about the disappearance of his wife. “Somebody knows something and I need that information to come to us,” says McDonald.
Cartersville Police, Bartow County Sheriff's deputies and the GBI are also looking for Heather. Wednesday evening they acted on a tip and showed up with search warrants at the Courtesy Inn but say it didn't pan out.

In the parking lot, friends and family formed a circle and joined hands in prayer. “We're not going to stop searching until she comes home,” says Chatman.

...and I think it was a pic posted by another. Sorry for that...I shouldn't read, text and cook dinner at the same time. Even my posts sometimes don't make sense to me!

I will continue to believe Heather taking off was the results of drugs. Drugs can can change you and make you do things you wouldn't normally do.
Now perhaps, Heather got caught up with a bigger part of a drug problem in Cartersville and if LE can find her they can take out a few others.
Sadly I feel if Heather left in the beginning by her own decision. I don't feel she is continuing to stay gone. She is being held or something has happened to her.

I continue to keep looking for Heather when I am out and about...hoping by chance to see her.

I have to agree. I would think that if the FBI were involved, it would lead back to the man who was reportedly wanted in Florida. He also had a drug arrest in Gordon county this summer, adding to an apparent history of aggravated assault, battery, domestic violence. I pray they find her alive. If she is with him, I fear it's just a matter of time before something happens.

One of the oddest things about the situation for me is who gets a Jeep Wrangler rental car?
A Jeep Wrangler is $150/day from the rates I see online, while a small or midsize sedan is $30-50. Even if insurance is paying they aren't going to usually cover that kind of cost.
And I own a Wrangler - they are not practical for a mother with children. They are not even practical for me, a guy with dogs. They are fun, they go almost any where, and they are expensive. I would think her personal car was likely something else, more practical?
It's obvious to me the picture on the first page of this thread was taken inside a Jeep Wrangler.

Maybe a complimentary upgrade because that was all they had at the time?
