NO BOND!!

Grand Jury is getting the case this afternoon. If they true bill, arraignment would be 9/22, with a possible trial date in early January. This judge seems very fair, but runs a tight courtroom, and doesn't play around with requests for continuances. He doesn't want a defendant sitting in jail waiting.
SG was crying pretty much the whole time, but those tears really started flowing when His Honor officially denied her bond. Main reasons for denial appeared to be flight risk and witness intimidation - there's a 5/6 year old witness, her sister who found the deceased, who needs to be protected from that at all costs.
IMO.

I just watched and she attempted to squeeze out some fake tears. Didn't actually see any.

I'm glad the judge is prioritizing the younger sibling.

They were falling when her bond was denied.
They sure tried to make her appear much younger than she is, too.
The real tears were from Kim, Jamey's sister. My heart was breaking :'(

Bail denied.
Well too bad, so sad.
If she'd waited until she was 18 she could've just left.
Letting that young sister find them was demonically evil.

My .02 and I'm not going to change my mind-- she needs to be locked up for the remainder of her days.
Imo.

The thing is, she had plenty of places to go, and HAD gone to. That was part of the reason why her bond was denied - flight risk. The witnesses that spoke for her today even said that. But she kept coming back to Kristen and Jamey's house for whatever reason.
She's got a reckoning coming.
IMO.

Following this week's court appearance, a judge ordered that she remain in jail. A motive behind the killings has not been revealed.

She is yet to be indicted, the judge said. He set her arraignment date for Sept. 22.
She was indicted by the Grand Jury on Monday afternoon, same day as her bond hearing. Eight counts including two counts of malice murder.

Is it normal to convene a Grand Jury after an arrest, and not before?

I believe it depends on jurisdiction or depends on charges, in this case, but don't hold me to that.

He really does need to quit talking. Quite frankly I don’t think he had a clue what was going on in Kristen’s life. Or he was just one of those at arms length parents who you met for lunch and didn’t really discuss ‘real life’.

Idk, the more he talks, the worse SG looks, so.... But no, I don't think he had much to do with Kristen or his grandkids. He's up in Rome, while they mainly lived in Carroll county and areas around there. It's sad that he can't seem to remember that his daughter is one of the victims here, and he seems to be throwing her under the bus.
IMO.
