Idk, the more he talks, the worse SG looks, so.... But no, I don't think he had much to do with Kristen or his grandkids. He's up in Rome, while they mainly lived in Carroll county and areas around there. It's sad that he can't seem to remember that his daughter is one of the victims here, and he seems to be throwing her under the bus.

If I had to guess, he’s of the mindset it’s too late to help Kristin, so he’s focusing on Sarah. Family dynamics are complicated. We don’t have much information except for what we are assuming - about Sarah’s childhood.

I know we have differing viewpoints about her. There was just something about her that pulls on my heart strings when I see photos of her. Figured that out last night. She strongly resembles my oldest granddaughter, so it’s a personal bias.

Looking at her photos even from 3 years ago, MUCH MUCH different than what she is portraying since the murder and in court. And her posts are not going to help her defense. I am wondering who helped her though. I don't think she did it alone. I thought i heard it said yesterday that they thought the parents were awake. I know the stepfather was waiting for heart transplant (i think) so maybe couldn't move fast, but it takes skill (or luck, i guess) to shoot 2 adults at least twice each, without one getting out and trying to stop you. I wish the evidence was out, very curious about that now. I'll be following this thru the trial. I do believe it may end being a plea deal though once evidence and grand jury are done.

NEW: I spoke to Sarah Grace Patrick’s grandfather today. He believes the GA teen is innocent of killing her mom and stepdad. He says there are other people LE needs to look at. For 1st time he unveiled what he thinks deputies could have against her. More on @LawCrimeNetwork YT.

He is Sarah Patrick’s grandfather, he is also the dad of Kristen Brock and the father-in-law of James Brock.
Sarah’s mother, Kristin Brock and stepfather, James Brock, were shot and killed in February in their home in Carlton, GA.

I believe it depends on jurisdiction or depends on charges, in this case, but don't hold me to that.
IMO.

I think some areas need a grand jury indictment for upgrade to first degree, and I've seen that happen after arrest. But I don't know if that's the case here either.

Yes. A grand jury serves the same purpose as a preliminary hearing. Indictments (or “true bills”) are required in all federal felony cases to verify probable cause before a case proceeds to trial.

As far as the states are concerned, about half use the grand jury system and the other half use preliminary hearings. Georgia obviously uses a grand jury. But both are used to determine probable cause before proceeding to trial. If a grand jury fails to issue an indictment, the charges are dropped — just as they are when a judge determines there’s not enough evidence for a case to move forward after a preliminary hearing.

Yeah this doesn’t look good for SGP
I’ve listened to her giving the eulogy, without the commentary from all those who doubt its authenticity, and read about actions of SGP after the deaths.

First I’m blown away that she doesn’t say murder, doesn’t demand justice for them, refers to the gun shot wounds as ‘apparent’.
Second, she either is very controlled and practiced in her grief, or she isn’t grieving.
Third, and the home shows no sign of forced entry. Doors are locked from the inside and she and her little sister and her parents are the only ones inside. A door is ajar, nothing is missing.
Fourth, the five year old little sister found her parents deceased.
Fifth, the 16 yr old SGP contacted true crime creators in June 2025 asking them for assistance in solving the case. She shared details of the crime scene. SGP told her it would be a ‘hit’. Proceeds to involve herself in the ‘sleuthing’ of a creator.
Sixth, her actions after the fact seem like attention seeking, are inconsistent for a grieving teen.
Seven, her own family is suspicious, thinks she is acting odd for a grieving teen.

She was arrested, so apparently a judge thought there was plenty of evidence for an arrest.
A judge said- No Bond, so the judge is concerned about the safety of others or that she would run.
A grand jury agrees there is enough evidence to go to trial.

Why would someone come into the home and kill these two parents using their own guns, and not be looking for something or take something or harm the girls?
How would they know a door was ajar?
How would they know guns were available in the home?
Are any of those consistent with an organized hit? No

I have been friends with Kristin for a very long time. I would have never thought this would happen to her. I know she married James and they had a child together which is 5 years old (a little girl), he had 5 boys by a different woman and she had a girl and a boy from a different man. Who would hate them so much that they would do something so cruel to them?

What I do know, is forgiving or being forced to forgive people who have traumatized you because of an addiction is a wild thing to expect of a child. Children are almost forced to be proud and celebrate the parents that traumatized them in the beginning, due to addiction after they become clean.

I guess I am much more concerned for the children in these situations, they need much more therapy and support than the addicted parents, and I feel like they get pushed to the side. Treatment and therapy for children of addicts need to be the most important thing that happens. But I digress, and probably not a popular opinion but I don't care anymore.
