Agree entirely. Have seen it happen. In fact, sometimes kids who are horribly abused turn the world right upside down and become the strongest advocates for prevention of abuse out there. I hope this child- and all the children in these types of situations- are aided by caring and knowledgeable folks who know how to guide them to that place.

In the meantime- let's help make these sorts of crimes against children stop by making a LOT of noise about them!

This is exactly what I did. I was molisted until 12 from a small child's age ( around 1) so almost 12 years. I was put down and abused in ways you would never believe but yet here I am today at 31 years old a mom of 6 2 biological 4 adoptive . They ( our adoptive ) children was also abused in ways that are unbeliveable but yet one helped get her friend help last week when she found out her friend was being abused.

Being abused is not a reason nore is it a excuse to abuse your own child/children when you grow up. You are now a adult, with your own mind and can make your own choices to abuse or not to abuse. I am so sick of hearing ohhhhh I was abused as a child so I did not know any better. BS. If you want to break the cycle of abuse you do ( as we did) or your don't ( as others don't ) but it is your choice.

Oconee Circuit District Attorney Timothy Vaughn said the 37-year-old mother pleaded guilty to child molestation and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Vaughn said the woman didn't physically abuse her daughter, but admitted trading sex with her for the 1998 Dodge Caravan.

Vaughn said the girl's 39-year-old father and former car dealership manager Robert Wayne Bearden both pleaded guilty tochild molestation and were sentenced to 10 years in prison.

For a 98 Dodge Caravan???? That alone should have been a mitigating circumstance in sentencing!

That poor, poor girl. To be so disgustingly USED like that. How do you psychologically reconcile your parents trading you for everything from pot to cars? I mean, that's just evil of such an insidious kind. How do you distinguish the monsters from the normal people.
