Someone (or several someones) know what happened and why, but there has been complete silence since Jason and Kenny were found/identified. Heartbreaking for their loved ones and for the community.

I messaged Cody Alcorn and asked if he knew of any updates in the investigation, maybe he'll ping the GBI.

The GBI said there are no new updates to report regarding any suspects but confirmed that agents have looked into the victims’ last known activities before they went missing.

I’ve had a look and I cannot find anything recent in MSM since that 11Alive article posted above. There’s also nothing new of any merit on social media.

@retageaster do you know what is happening with the investigation? For a scenario that is so blatantly suspicious, not much investigation is obviously happening. There must be evidence to lead LE to who did this. I wonder why so quiet all these years. I’m sorry for the loss of your friends.

I've always believed that people know who is responsible but are terrified to come forward.

There’s much that can’t be discussed here, true. But LE can still bump this case periodically to keep it on the public’s radar. To my knowledge that’s not happened.
