I'm from Athens, Ga and I am trying to find out more information on Jennifer Lynn Stone who was burglarized, assaulted, raped, and strangled between the times of 1AM and 3AM Thursday morning. The suspect, according to DNA and witnesses to those he came in contact with, was highly likely to be a 5'10" mixed black male (light complexion) with a thin mustache possibly in his 30s.
(Possible) Evidence left at the crime scene was hair, fibers, fingerprints (could be smeared and not reliable), and semen. Keep in mind that this took place in 1992 and the requirement for felons to turn in DNA was not until 2000, in those 8 years the offender could have very well committed more crimes and gone unnoticed.
After committing the crime the suspect stole a Cannon and Nikon camera from her apartment, then proceeded to ask a local where he could trade the cameras for dope. The local directed him to a bar on Hancock (this bar has yet to be named and is no longer in business), he also traded a camera at the Parkview Homes (At most a 5 minute walk) for crack cocaine (although, some sources say he also received a $20 bill as well as drugs). These cameras were later discovered and confiscated by police from suspects who were later cleared due to DNA.
"Cause of Death: Strangulation.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department and the GBI are seeking information on the murder of Jennifer Stone, a 22 year old University of Georgia student whose body was discovered in her 3 room apartment (185 N Hull St) in Athens at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 23,1992."

I didn't know Jennifer. I don't even know anyone that knew her but no parents should die not knowing that justice was served for their child, no friends should lie awake at night wondering if the killer is still alive and free. I want to shed more light onto this case even with everything against it, such as the files remaining closed and few leads to go on despite the department stating the file is "60 pounds."
Thanks for any tips or information, I have provided some scanned articles and online links.
