I agree with you Luvbeaches. I don't think Jen is done yet. I'll be very surprised if she makes it through the 2 years probation without another offense.

You can hear the audio of her 911 call and conversation with John and others here:
http://www.wbir.com/news/news.aspx?storyid=26178

There are 9 pictures from her court appearance here:
http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/gwinnett/0605/03bride.html
It is one of those register sites but I got the following login information from "Bugmenot" that works for me:

Name: Booger
Email: [email protected]
Password: abcdefgh

Under the photo click on "more photos" (there are 9 in all). Picture #6 shows a picture of her father (in the back, not very visible) but it sure looks like he has those same kind of eyes.

No, she'll never make it two years. I wonder how many felonies she will commit before they stop removing them from her record?

Granny...Thanks for the links. :)

I wonder how many she has committed that she wasn't caught at?

You are very welcome for the links. I hope they worked for you. Didn't you think her Dad's eyes resembled hers?

The runaway bride says she "cracked" under the pressure of wedding duties — like packing for her honeymoon and setting up her pedicure and manicure.
In her first interview with police and the FBI after she disappeared from her Georgia home and sparking a nationwide bride hunt, Jennifer Wilbanks said she just couldn't get ev erything done, "Good Morn ing America Weekend Edi tion" reported yesterday.

I hope she never decides to have kids. If she thinks a wedding is stressful, wait until she ends up walking the floor with an infant with colic or teething, or has a 4 year old say "I hate you" or a 6 year old who tells her "You can't make me". She will never be able to deal with it.

John Mason is the one who needs to be running. Run, John Mason, RUN!

I was amused at the film footage of her court appearance. She specifically held her hands behind her back and twisted her engagement ring 180 degrees so that the diamond could be seen by the TV camera crews and would sparkle in the light. Then she continued to fondle it so people/cameras would notice and zoom in on it. It worked. What a goon.

And all THAT is just the beginning.....wait til a 13 year old looks her in the eye and says something pithy, like "You are the worst mother in the world." Or her 16 year old announces she's pregnant, or smokes pot, or has decided to become an atheist....or drags home someone from the wrong side of the tracks....or gets arrested for shoplifting! Stress comes with marriage, and it definitely comes with raising children. Mommy and Daddy can't rescue us from real life forever.
I hope she continues her counselling and learns coping skills before she goes through with this wedding. It seems to me, and I am not an admirer of Miss Jenny, that the pressure to continue on with the wedding is still on. Give the girl some space!

I seriously doubt it was the wedding duties getting to her. Usually months of planning have gone into the wedding, and the last week is the "fun stuff". Also that is what attendants are there for, to help with some of those things; also parents.

However, a huge wedding like that could be very overwhelming, especially if you really don't want to be walking down the aisle in front of 1000 people. She did mention she didn't feel she could be a "good enough" wife and so forth. She probably felt she was trying to be something she wasn't.

She definitely has alot of problems, but maybe can be helped with treatment and support. Perhaps all her crimes are related to a terribly low self-esteem and some sort of depression/anxiety disorder.

I had a sinus migraine this morning and got to watch GMA...it was interesting.

From GMA, but there are parts missing from what they showed this morning.

'Cracked Under Pressure'

She then admitted to having cold feet about her impending wedding.

"I just cracked under all this pressure and I just, I mean, I couldn't do it all," Wilbanks admitted. "I couldn't, and have the perfect wedding that everybody thought that I was supposed to have."

The so-called runaway bride said she realized just days before her wedding there was no way she could get everything done in time.

"I've got to get my pedicure and manicure done," Wilbanks said. "I've got to pack for this honeymoon, and I don't even know where I'm going. Blah, blah, blah. I was like, there's no absolute way I'm going to get all this done."

Wilbanks also confessed she was scared to marry John Mason, fearful she would not be a good-enough wife or would be unable to make the marriage work.

When asked why she fabricated the alleged sexual assault, Wilbanks said she felt pressure from family members on calls home, as they repeatedly asked her if she had been hurt.

I don't believe her for one minute. Pressure? Sure, but if she "just cracked" then why did she purchase a bus ticket a week in advance? It just doesn't ring true to me at all. Plus "just days before" she had been in counceling with the paster and nobody noticed anything different about her? If she had cracked then she would have possibly acted somewhat irratic from her normal behavior wouldn't she?

Hopefully she'll move on with her life and we'll never hear about her again (which means she's got herself together)...

Her eyes remind me of the thyroid condition that someone in my family has- and it CAN cause mental instability if not treated. Anyone that does what she did is not normal and needs treatment.

Fresh from copping a plea to faking her own abduction, "Runaway Bride" Jennifer Wilbanks seems ready to cash in. I hear that Queen of All Media Judith Regan is close to inking a mid-six-figure deal with the 32-year-old Wilbanks and her on-again, off-again future husband, John Mason, that includes movie-of-the-week rights (possibly for NBC) and a network television interview - maybe with Katie Couric. No comments all around.

Freshly Los Angeles, Judith Regan is about to let the ink dry on a six-figure book deal with "Runaway Bride" Jennifer Wilbanks. The deal also includes television movie rights and network interview (both likely with NBC). That Judy, moving ahead with her synergy plans.

She's not mentally ill, she's devious IMO.

She's NEWS so please quit pulling the threads just because one of you can't handle the truth about the fraud she pulled on the entire nation. Now she's capitalizing on it as well. She's not mentally ill, she's devious IMO.

I think this sucks that she will sell a book and make money off of it. :banghead: To me, it was plain o'l stupid that she got this much attention. I'm really surprised by it..

Geeez, maybe I should pull a stunt and get rich and famous.. hum, I wonder what I could do?? :waitasec:

That is just sick. There should be a law against being able to capitalize on a crime you've committed. In this case, surely she should be able to pay the community back more that $13,000.

Just think, she has a nice downpayment on a house, or doesn't have to work for a few years. Only do community service. What a reward! Notice the book deal was announced AFTER the settlement with the city.

The Smoking Gun is having a little fun with her. You'll find her in the mugshots section as well.
