She wants the whole 500,000. She says that he owes her punitive damages. I think it is the other way around!

I think the judge whould give her half ONLY if she will turn the entire amount over to the city/county to compensate THEM for the huge cost of trying to find her sorry butt!
Would she still have to do the community service? I like the fact that she has to work cutting grass, etc. I think helps her realize what a terrible thing she did more so than just paying money.

What a wig nut!!

Hubby said that if she wins a dime off of this then the police and FBI should go after the money.

Why shouldn't she have to do both?

Regardless of what I think of this obviously disturbed individual, if he took $550K and didn't give her half that was due her, that's wrong.

However, I am sure there's more to the story and look forward to hearing his side of things.

I think HER PARENTS should sue HER for all the money they spent on her wedding that she failed to attend!

Furthermore I think both of them should have returned all the wedding and wedding shower gifts, or paid back their worth to those that were suckered in to give them the gifts! And they should have to repay the bridesmaids and groomsmen for the expenses they incurred in getting outfitted for the wedding that never took place. :furious:

split the money and be done with the nutbag. I do not like Jennifer Wilbanks but if the home was purchased together then she deserves half of it.

What a greedy little beeyotch!! He "earned" his half of the $500,000, as far as I'm concerned. "Their story" was half his. If she wants half, that's fine. But her asking for all of it leaves a bad taste in my mouth!

P.s.-Wouldn't John Mason be a great candidate for "The Bachelor"? lol

Even if this guy has to pay her back every dime, he still comes out the winner. I hope he realizes that he really dodged the bullet on being UNmarried to this idiot.

edited to add : Hasnt it been 15 minutes yet ???

People sell their personal stories all the time about their lives with a famous or infamous person and they never have to give them a dime so I don't think this should be any different. However, if she does get half, she should have to reimburse all of the LE divisions for the money that was spent investigating her "disappearance".

On Nancy Grace it was actually funny for a moment. They realised when Jennifer sued the corporation, the corporation consisted of only her and her ex. So she sued herself!

Something strange about this story. When she went into the hospital, wasn't that BEFORE she ever made the book deal? so she gives HIM power of attorney and he makes the book Deal? How dumb can she get, or even dumber that is.

Surely in the contract it would be clear if she were entitled to half the money. So then he goes and buys a house. Well did he plonk down all 500,000 for the house? Paid cash? That's hard to believe, maybe he made a down payment? Where's the rest of th money? With todays interest rates it seems like it would have been silly to put it all down on the house, unless they bought a million dollar house that they couldn't really afford.

"He kicked her out". Well, if they both owned the house, she wouldn't necessarily have to leave. Make him leave. And why didn't she take her things with her?

Can't afford a moving truck, to take the washer & dryer and half the the wedding gifts and daddy's ladder?

I would love to know the real story behind all this. Were they still being abstinent? Maybe that's what got to them.

I read an article where the groom-to-be wants to settle with her and move on with his life. She sounds like one for drama and probably wants far more than she deserves...After all, she is the one who made up the story in the first place...
