The family offered a $100,000 reward, but she's only going to pay back $13,000. I think she should have to pay every cent back.
Agreed, once again the spoiled brat whose family could have afforded a 1,200 person wedding, gets off the hook!

It is pitiful.

Why in the world would she get special treatment?

Doesn't make any sense...

I guess they'll have at least $100,000 in legal expenses before it's all over - trying to keep her out of prison. I guess several families/relatives went together to put up the reward money, probably they are not so eager to help out now.

Probably John's parents were paying for half of the wedding. Does anyone know if she returned the presents?

I hadn't thought about the reward money coming from other friends/family members (in addition to her family), but I'll bet you're right.

After all the poor little rich girl has been through she'll keep the presents & more will he requested to keep her spirits up! :innocent: :loser:

No, it doesn't make sense. I wonder what else she's done. With five prior arrests, I'll bet there are other incidents (that didn’t end up with her being arrested). I have a fruit-loop cousin, and I swear, there isn’t anything I’d put past that girl. On the other hand, I wouldn’t go blabbing to the media about her escapades. If she pulled a “Jennifer,” I’d still keep my mouth shut (Lord knows it wouldn’t be easy). Family picnics are never dull when she’s around. I still can’t believe that bridesmaid (and I think she was a relative of Jennifer’s) got up in front of a camera and acted like this was so out of character for Jennifer. Maybe in their family two prior broken engagements, and a string of shoplifting charges are normal. Oh, and you'd bend over laughing if you could read my aunt's Christmas letter. Jeeze, it's like...get a clue! Total denial as to what her daughter is doing. I love the "Sabbatical" she was on. We knew where she was...

Maybe John is the rescuer type. Maybe he felt he could help her see the right path in life. I think he’s asking for trouble with this book deal, and should really think long and hard before he exposes more of his personal life to the world. But I’ll bet his book (if there is one) will be more of a book about his faith, than anything else. How God got him through this…and all. And how Jennifer should be forgiven. He’s done it.

You'll have to keep us posted, if you hear anything else. I just have a feeling, much, much more is to come.

GMA exclusive at 7 am EDT - June 2nd - Thursday

Miss Jennifer will appear in Court this morning and be criminally charged with making a false statement in connection with a kidnapping hoax.

It was also announced that Mason still intends to marry Wilbanks.

Thanks for the heads up..

He better marry her in a low key prison wedding (so she has no chance of running away this time):loser:

What is the matter with him!
???? Can't he read the writing on the wall? Does he really want to have this woman mother his children? If he thinks he's got problems NOW, that would sure be an eye-opener!

Good question, Jovin.

I guess since Mr. Mason has embraced his religious beliefs and is planning on writing that book about forgiveness ~ well, I suppose marrying Jennifer is all part of the package.

IMO - this dude needs a serious wake-up call. We can only hope ...

ETA: Jovin, it's really a joy seeing your "hat" and delightful smilies back on the WS threads. I hope you know how much you were missed by "everyone". OK, just had to add my 2 cents - carry on. :)

She just pled guilty to a felony offense.
