I hope they find him before the storm! I've been to Cocktail Cove before and it's a busy, crowded Cove on nice weekends. Boats will motor in and drop anchor. Many will turn up the music and alcohol will flow. It becomes a big party on the water with plenty of boat hopping. Definitely opportunity for an accident. There's also a marina with a bar/restaurant in the cove. If he didn't leave on a friend's boat then I wouldn't be surprised if he had an accident. It'd be possible for someone to hit their head and go under unnoticed in that chaotic environment. That's just my experience at that location of Lake Lanier. I hope he's just off with friends. All IMO and from experience.

Nine days after a 57-year-old boater from Gwinnett County went missing near Lake Lanier, state rangers Monday found his body.

Jerry Kornmeier of Snellville is the third person found dead near Lake Lanier since early April.
