The examiner. com isn't MSM but rather a blog site where bloggers aggregate info from MSM articles and *rewrite*. There have been many times that I've read errors in their blog entries on other cases. I, personally, take their info with a grain of salt until it can be supported by MSM.

I went by the site today and from far away it did not look like the trash was compacted, and in the local news station videos it looks as though it was not compacted.

A few articles I've read since she's been found refers to a trash compactor. First picture at link posted by Mag supports that possibly.

Thank you for that picture! You can see the controller on the RIGHT side. So I believe it was a compactor now.

I was trying to watch NG but my son and his friend came over and were talking to me and I had to pretend i was happy to talk to them instead of watching what was going on. LOL.

Anyway, there was some middle aged man from the complex being interviewed and his body language was really odd. I couldnt hear because of the conversation I was having but I couldn't help but notice how quirky and odd he seemed. And I did hear him say he was questioned but he didn't know anything EVEN THOUGH HE WAS HOME IN THE APT. during that time. Did anyone else see that guy?

If you look at the top picture of this photo blog, you'll see a control box at the top right edge of the picture. There's a red button. Those look like compactor controls to me.

(I believe the top part is a permanent portion of the compactor, attached to the walls, and the bottom part--- the roll-off container---- is underneath, and slides out from underneath and to the right of the frame of the picture, where the hill slopes down, and a truck could back up to it.)

That being said, just because things were dropped into the container, doesn't mean it had actually been run since Friday. The GBI director said the garbage was 'compacted' down, I believe, but he may have just meant it was all squeezed in, not that the compactor had been run.

I wouldn't be surprised if the perp drove right up and tossed her on his way out for the evening, wrapped up in something, and then put in a garbage bag. Just looks like a guy tossing out trash. (Sorry, sweet girl.) I'd like cadaver dogs to inspect each and every car in that complex....

KATYDID23- I think he said that w woman came to his door asking if h saw a little girl, the police searched his and others apartments last night, and they watched the police while they were working today. Also lots of LE searching the area and cars last night.

they did go through trash, there are several bins. however, this compactor (which it is and it does just that) has to be disconnected by the manufacturer - which they finally did today.

so, they had looked at all trash bins, just not able to reach this one. this one was also 100 yards from the playground, putting it closer to that other apartment complex next door, correct?

I thought I heard it too. Maybe the plastic wrap was like what you tape up on windows, screen porches or doors in the winter? Could they get fingerprints from plastic wrap?

Side note - Somer Thompson was another sweet little girl that had the same fate as Jorelys.

At the presser, a reporter asked if it was true she was found wrapped in plastic. The GBI director guy said something like, "We haven't said how she was found" and implied that at this point, those details were being withheld.

Don't know if the reporter was privy to something or was just on a fishing expedition.

O/T but Kelly, that makes me smile. I've had this screen name or one variation of it for years now, and I'm glad that it reminds you of someone who cared for you and yours so much.

On topic, the "news" that I have been watching has mentioned something about mattresses and blood. So, they should have DNA from the perp, if this is true. So many of my friends/family are just heartbroken over this young lady's passing, one is even writing a song about her because he just can't begin to understand this. I have been here since I came home from work, still looking for an arrest... I probably need to step away for a bit, it's just so much, along with all the other little ones and big ones who are missing right now

I'm glad that I didn't offend you-or anyone-by posting such O/T information to this thread.

I have not watched any local news or any TV at all actually, but have checked in here for updates. I didn't know about the mattress and blood (Dear GOD!) but I honestly believe there will be an arrest shortly. I believe this offender left a lot of evidence and will be caught shortly.

I am willing to stay up all night with anyone who wants to do so and interceed for this baby that her killer will be found and arrested. And yes, I know she wasn't a "baby" but to those of us who could have been her grandma, she was....

Dr. M: hopefully he wasn't that sophisticated, if he did use a condom then his DNA would be on inside and hers would be on outside, they have to search each piece of garbage in that dumpster.

(gosh that's a lot of trash! better pic on NG).

The body was not visible when they pulled the dumpster, the body was between heavily condensed garbage.

Holly: anyone can put garbage into dumpster, but in order to compact you have to have a key to turn on compacter, but she could have been placed in there and the maintence worker didn't notice before compacting. Empty apt's in J. R.'s bldg, it's possible to walk to that compacting dumpster without walking through complex.

They are using the times that the trash is compacted to compare timelines.

I just heard someone on NG said that only the maintenance men have keys to the compactor. Remember the comment about the maintenance man who tried to hit on the poster? Maybe they need to check them out further, all the way down to their shoe tips.
