This is my hometown. After an altercation in the cafeteria, a student shot another student in the hand. The victim and shooter were the two involved in the altercation.
There are no metal detectors at any of the schools.
This shooting follows on the heels of several fights at Butler High School the day before. Two students were arrested, along with a mother and daughter who came to the school and barged past the police office (assigned to the school).

A large fight broke out Tuesday morning at Butler High School, the latest campus in the CSRA to deal with a large outbreak of violence at the start of the school year.
