Clayton County police have issued a statewide alert for a missing man they say has a mental disorder.

Authorities said 31-year-old Jovan Johnson was last seen on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the 5900 block of Highway 85 in Riverdale. At the time, he was wearing gray tweed jogging pants and an orange-and-white flannel shirt.

He's described as a black male who is about 5'7" tall and 120 pounds with brown eyes and black hair in an Afro style.

Police believe he walked and did not drive away from the location. They added that Johnson was diagnosed with schizophrenia and that this was the reason for issuing a Mattie's Call - a statewide alert for missing elderly adults or those with disabilities.

Anyone who sees Johnson is asked to call the Clayton County Police Department at 770-477-3747 or dial 911.

This gentleman has been missing previously - whilst I was able to find closed alerts for his Feb 2019 disappearance, I wasn't able to for May 2019. Hopefully someone will have more luck than I did.
