Probably so. The stop sign opposite the pond is at the bottom a hill...it's quite easy to go through if you aren't anticipating it.

Missing Elbert County teen's body, wrecked car found in pond

An Elbert County sheriff’s deputy found Mosier’s car after he spotted marks on a dirt embankment at the intersection of Parhamtown Road and Georgia Highway 172, Danielsville Police Chief Brenan Baird said Thursday.

Mosier, a May graduate of Elbert County High School, was a new driver, having received her driver’s license that same month, according to Baird.
