Karen Kristina Lee W/F, 31 years of age, 5’ 5”, 100 lbs., unknown clothing description.

Last Seen in the area of 18000 block of Roosevelt Hwy, Greenville, Georgia on or around January 15, 2021 leaving a residence that she had recently relocated to from the State of Florida.

Lee reportedly left in an unknown direction of travel with destination unknown. The last known communication with Karen Lee was by phone on January 18, 2021. Karen Lee was reported missing to the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office on January 26, 2021 and has been placed on G.C.I.C. as a Missing Person.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Lee, please call 911 or Meriwether County S.O. Investigator Mike Sarno at (706) 672-6675 or Sgt. Carl White at (706) 672-6651. The Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the publics help in locating Karen.

I wonder if the person who was in contact with her by phone on the 18th is the same person who saw her leaving in an unknown direction on the 15th. And is that the same person who didn’t report her missing until the 26th? Hmm.

I hope it doesn’t take long for police get to get her records from the phone company.

Mon 1/18 - Last communication (phone)
Tue 1/26 - Reported missing

No purse but she had her phone (presumably) and her dog.

Was there a problem with the dog? There's an animal shelter nearby. Not many homes in that area.

Yes. I've seen separate pictures of her (small) dog posted as well, though not on news articles. It seems like she took her phone with her.

It seems strange to me that she was reported missing more than a week after her last communication. Did she actually live with her children and their father? Or was she living her own life, so they weren't concerned if they haven't seen her or heard from her for a few days? There's no mention of a job.

I’ve been following this on FB (a friend of mine shared the sister’s post). Someone commented to the news article post, but I didn’t see the info in the article (perhaps the article had been edited between her reading and mine). I offered clarification based on the current article and KKL’s sister replied to my comment. My first reaction was surprise. Then I had an overwhelming desire to offer a hug. Her pain is palpable.

I hope TW will create a FB page dedicated to her sister’s disappearance so she has a single place to share info, dispel rumors, etc.

It will be easier to follow and discuss this case when her sister makes a dedicated fb page.

Perhaps the Jan 18 "phone contact" could be taken in a broad sense and might not entail contact on her part. The fact that her father heard from her a day after she left (Jan 16) gives me some hope.

Thanks for linking the FB page. I also noted in the comments that (per Admin) when this man came to her home the day before, he said he had just bought the house next door, and wanted them to keep an eye on it.

If he's the one she left with, I doubt that is true. If it's true it's easily verifiable.

Any mention of phone pings? And I question why it’s two weeks later that she is reported missing. Why the wait? I know she has had a sketchy behavior - but I suspect people just thought she went off the grid? Have there been any organized searches? Any info about phone pings?
