What if she's unable to make contact with her family? It doesn't seem like she's leading a normal life elsewhere. She needs help IMO.
I agree, she needs help. But whether she will choose to seek it is another story. I read something written by her sister today, really heartbreaking. This has been a repetitive cycle in Karen's life :(

Missing Gulf Breeze woman located in CA, family believes she was taken against her will

Excerpts from the article (info from her sister):

Lee struggled with drug abuse a decade ago and had recently relapsed due to losing her business during the pandemic.

Lee was put in a hotel after a family dispute. Soon after, strange men showed up to the family's home and days later, she disappeared.

San Diego authorities report finding Lee with her dog and a man. They were found in an abandoned construction site. The police did notate her mental health and said that she seemed to be having some mental instability.

Her sister also gave some more details on the above in a podcast interview (link in the fb post): We love you KK and Sophie

Another quote from the above article in regard to her reaction to San Diego police encounter:

They [police] offered her services; she rejected them.

I'm encouraged by this statement. Prayers that they find her and she accepts assistance. MOO

"They [police] offered her services; she rejected them. San Diego County is one of the hubs for trafficking, but it's on an individual basis. It is very active here and that is one of things we want to look at if she's located. So right now we're trying to relocate her to give her a place to stay and any psychological or physical help she needs," said Dierdorff.

Feeling invested particularly after seeing her sister's dedication and love. I hope she is reunited with her family, I hope she acquires help that she obviously needs. I wish more could be done.
