Previous posts about SW pointed out the many similarities between the 2014 Atlanta attack and 2021 killings of KJ and RR. Among the similarities hey all lack motive other than mental illness, the presence of gay slurs, stabbings, random and ambush style surprise attacks.

Relief can be found if these crimes can be connected somehow; then we know that KJ and Bowie’s killer is off the streets; prosecutors are seeking the death penalty (assuming he is mentally fit to stand trial). It is jaw dropping regarding comments made by the judge and SW Public Defender. We all should be concerned for our safety every time a repeat offender with known mental illness is released on conditions of time served, provided a 30 day supply of meds, a Greyhound bus ticket, and a 4 hour window to depart the state of Georgia.

The man accused of killing 14-year-old Ryan Rogers in Palm Beach Gardens could have been sentenced to two decades in prison for a violent crime he committed in Atlanta. However, Semmie Williams was released after only serving three years behind bars. Police in Atlanta charged Williams with attacking a random senior citizen in February 2014, nearly strangling him to death.

There’s no reason why any of this should have happened except that this is a killer as far as I’m concerned. I have no doubt he wanted to kill me. He wasn’t letting up. He was choking me. I was passing out. And if it hadn’t been for fellow citizens that saw him jump me I would be dead today. Here I’m in a residential neighborhood. The man was hiding behind a retaining wall across the street. He came running up behind me.. I didn’t even notice him, didn’t say a word, I looked out of the corner of my eye and he’s jumping me and the first thing he does is hit me in the head.

Per SW attorney “there was no need for Mr. Williams to attach Mr. Brincks. It was mainly due I think mostly due to his mental health state at that time. He’s acknowledged that and knows he need to stay on his medication.”

· 2005- 2014 - SW family confirmed he had been in Atlanta for 10 years
· 2/7/ 2014 – SW attacked Mr. Brincks near North Rock Springs Drive in the City of Atlanta, Fulton County Georgia
· Whereabouts unknown – The court files show Williams' mental state delayed the case from getting resolved. He apparently fled to San Diego at one point and was extradited back to Georgia.
· 2/16/ 2016 - held in Fulton County Jail and two Georgia mental health facilities
· 5/29/2018 Criminal indictment hearing held and sentenced to five years to serve three years commuted to time served with the balance on probation. Release via Greyhound bus to his mother in Sanford, FL.

There are many similarities between the murder of Ryan Rogers and Katie.
Do we know if the police are considering Semmie Williams a suspect in Katie's murder? Can we assume they are aware of him? If so, I wonder why they would not tell the public they may have a suspect and he's off the streets. That would make so many people feel a bit of relief and also get some confidence back in the police solving this case.

That was my impression (about the cameras). I suspect they were technically “working surveillance cameras” because the live footage captured by the cameras could be monitored at a substation, guardhouse, parks and recreation HQ, or wherever. I don’t think they had the ability to record footage or had the capacity to store it. I have a feeling this was a huge oversight on the part of the APD. Or maybe they felt the funds could better be served elsewhere.

Elsewhere like in somebody's pocket, IMO.

The biggest difference between the murders is that Tori was killed by gunshot while Katie was repeatedly stabbed, mutilated as well as kicked or hit.

Was somebody else shot? I think that Tori probably knew her killer but not very well (obviously). Her father said that her friends have not been much help in the investigation. It's possible that her friends know who it is and are afraid to talk. Phone GPS data should be really helpful in Tori's case. She drove her car that night and possibly picked up her killer(s) at their own address. I can't believe her case is still unsolved.

Anyway... IMO Tori and Katie were murdered by different killers with very different motives.

I just looked at the autopsy again. I don't think the "o'clock" references have anything to do with any particular knife-fighting style. They just describe the direction of the injuries on the body.

I was struck by how shallow most of the wounds were, an inch or so. But there are one or two to the back that are four inches in depth. There are also blunt-force bruises. I wonder how many weapons were used.

It really does seem beyond even Jack the Ripper. But each injury reveals more details about who did it.

Coming here after listening to Joseph Scott Morgan's podcast. Oh, this poor victim! I'll never cry over a paper cut again.

The o'clock positioning in the AR signifies the positioning of a wound in relation to a body part. IOW, it's another way to indicate the most precise injury placement. IE, a 3/8" contusion may be found at the four o'clock position on the chin with the six o'clock position being the midline.

My thoughts on the depth of the shallow incised wounds indicates the killer was tormenting the victim; possibly, by slowly drawing the blade across the skin into the subcutaneous tissue. I don't think this crime happened swiftly. Quite the opposite may be true. Katie had far too many various wounds, intentional wounds, such as the carving of letters and pulling her pants down, for the sadistic killer to be in haste.

This killer may have known the victim, Katie, to have disfigured her face in such a manner that it lost it's contour. It seems personal. Slicing her eyelids. What purpose did that serve the killer? Had she seen something she shouldn't have seen? Copious negative emotions seem to be involved.

The knife was durable with perhaps the blade running the length of the handle for stability. These type knives have the blade riveted into the handle.

Bowie! A precious dog is not supposed to be murdered while out for a pleasant walk with its mom. We can only hope Bowie got a bite of the killer; thereby, leaving DNA in the mouth. Dogs are keen. It's likely that Bowie sensed danger and began growling to warn her mom. Piedmont Park requires dogs to be leashed. I wonder if Bowie wore a muzzle that evening.

There is deep sorrow that Katie was unable to keep her flight plans to visit her dear mother and sister ... such an unnecessary and painful loss.

There were a stunning number of murders in the Atlanta area. I just don't see how these two are connected.

I remember when I first posted that I wondered if SW could have been responsible for KJ’s murder and should I report my suspicions to crime stoppers and most people told me not to waste crime stoppers time reporting him because there is no way SW did this. I’m glad to see more people interested in KJ’s case and taking a good look at SW in relation. What happened to KJ & Bowie is just awful and I hope they catch this person(s) soon. The world isn’t safe with this murderer walking the streets.
