Agree. I often wonder if this had occurred in a different place and time if it would already be solved. This seemed so solvable initially, boy was I wrong.

Anything at all happening for justice in this case?
Katie’s case is in the news today in Atlanta (can’t get the link to post). Apparently it’s a DNA case now. Hope this statement from APD augurs-wells for solving the case SOON. Justice for Katie & Bowie! It’s long overdue.
It would be really helpful to have the link, please.Katie’s case is in the news today in Atlanta (can’t get the link to post). Apparently it’s a DNA case now. Hope this statement from APD augurs-wells for solving the case SOON. Justice for Katie & Bowie! It’s long overdue.
I think we all have gone back and forth on this issue.I go back and forth on this case, whether it is someone who knew Katie, or a stranger. I lean towards someone who knew Katie and Bowie. I often think LEO knows more about this case, but not enough evidence to charge someone.
As mentioned, I tried to post it (numerous times) and I kept getting error messages. It would be really helpful to have the link, please.

"The agency said investigators are focused on DNA evidence in hopes of getting a new lead in the case." This statement by the police to me tells me that it must not be someone that was very close to Katie. It has been rumored that some sort of DNA evidence was recovered from Bowie's body but his necropsy has not been released.
This case is really perplexing to me.
I am moving toward the camp that says they don't have an idea. The rumor was that some at least partial DNA was retrieved from Bowie. If they had a person of interest, they would have been able to obtain a DNA sample in one way or another. Maybe we are in a "we are waiting for dna technology to evolve enough to identify the killer" stage. But nearly 4 years have gone by with a person on the loose that committed one of the most horrific and violent murders we have seen. And did it in a public space. I don't know what to think.![]()

they could have DNA that does not match anything ... (I also thought there was some research that some killers do not become serial killers- they kill once and stop- but I do not see any on line articles on that so not sure where that theory went.)I am moving toward the camp that says they don't have an idea.
